Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the incredible bravery of the first responders, service members, and Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed.

We remember the fallen heroes who ran towards danger.

And we remember the strength and unity our country showed in the days that followed.

At Comfort Independent Living, we are especially grateful for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving and protecting our country.

Phone scams targeting elderly adults are becoming increasingly common and unfortunately, scammers are getting more and more convincing. Many pretend to be from Medicare, Social Security, banks, or even family members in trouble.

๐ŸšฉCommon Warning Signs:
-Asking for money, gift cards, or wire transfers
-Threatening arrest or account closure
-Asking for a verification code over the phone
-Requesting personal information over the phone
-Calls claiming you've won prizes you never entered for

๐Ÿ’กHelpful Safety Tips:
โœ”๏ธNever give personal or banking information over the phone
โœ”๏ธIf things feel off, hang up and call the company back directly using an official number
โœ”๏ธLet unknown calls go to voicemail
โœ”๏ธNever give someone a verification code over the phone
โœ”๏ธUse call blocking features if possible

Behind the scenes, she wears more hats than we can count. From answering calls and handling schedules to supporting families, training staff, and yes... even caring for our clients herself when caregivers aren't available. She truly does it ALL!

Her dedication to both our clients and team is what keeps everything running smoothly each day.

In her free time, Alecia enjoys spending time with her grandchildren (SIX in total), walking her dog, Macy ๐Ÿถ and traveling!
