Our CEO and founder Dr. Michael Meneghini likes to talk about the coming “healthcare earthquake.” But what does he mean? Well, this article from the Indianapolis Business Journal featuring Dr. Meneghini explains it well.

Advances in surgical technology, protocols and techniques allow more high-quality orthopedic procedures to be done without hospital stays.

Changes in reimbursement increasingly reflect those innovations in outpatient orthopedic care.

More procedures shift to outpatient settings, allowing many patients to recover in their own homes.

Indiana Orthopedic Institute strives to be a physician-led leader in musculoskeletal care with our flagship clinic and surgery center in Noblesville’s Innovation Mile District as well as centers in Terre Haute and Fort Wayne and clinics in Greenwood and Brazil.

Thank you to the IBJ for explanatory journalism on complex subjects that have real-world effects.

Meet Dr. Peter Hogg, shoulder surgeon for Indiana Orthopedic Institute. He has extensive experience in all areas of shoulder care. Many of his patients seek relief from the pain of shoulder arthritis or rotator cuff issues hampering their mobility and quality of life. Dr. Hogg works with each patient to determine the best course of treatment, whether that is surgery or options such as injections or physical therapy.

For Dr. Hogg, medicine seemed like a natural career path. He always enjoyed science. His mother and grandmother were nurses, and a friend’s mother who was a physician also helped spark his interest in medicine. He sees orthopedics as a direct way to help people improve their quality of life.

A native Hoosier, Dr. Hogg treats patients at Indiana Orthopedic Institute’s Noblesville and Fort Wayne locations.

We love being active in the communities we serve. Indiana Orthopedic Institute hip and knee surgeon Dr. Avinash Inabathula spoke to dozens Wednesday on the complex subject of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He covered how AI is used today for diagnostic support, workflow and patient communication and discussed practical strategies for using AI tools while recognizing limitations and the need for human medical guidance.

Dr. Inabathula’s talk at Westminster Village Terre Haute, Inc. was part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) series at Indiana State University.

OLLI events are designed for those 50 and older who wish to pursue learning in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere.

We thank everyone who came out to hear Dr. Inabathula for a great conversation!

Value-based care seems like a healthcare buzzword, yet it’s an approach with real power and potential to help transform care.

Think of it as high-quality care delivered in a setting that also saves money for patients and employers.

Ambulatory surgery centers cost 65% as much as inpatient care!

Dr. Anthony Sorkin is a fracture care/traumaplasty Surgeon with Indiana Orthopedic Institute who also helps lead our approach to value-based care.

Dr. Sorkin recently sat down with our CEO and founder, Dr. Michael Meneghini, for a lively discussion that’s relevant for all.

Dr. Meneghini often says the healthcare ground is shaking, and more procedures moving to outpatient facilities is a big part of the fundamental changes just now coming into focus.
