Foot and ankle problems have many sources.

Pain can come from arthritis, bunion deformity, heel spurs, sports injuries, tendon irritation, plantar fasciitis, nerve compression, fractures, or alignment changes.

At Indiana Orthopedic Institute, care starts with the patient's goals and may include non-surgical treatment, in-office procedures, reconstruction, ankle replacement, tendon repair, ligament stabilization, arthroscopy, or fracture repair.

Our two fellowship-trained experts, Dr. Andrew Kapsalis and Dr. Meghan Roby, are here for you.

We were honored yesterday to have our founder and CEO, Dr. Michael Meneghini, deliver the keynote address at the inaugural OrthoWorx Summit in Warsaw.

What was Dr. Meneghini’s topic? “Innovation in Orthopedic Care Delivery Models.”

Dr. Meneghini outlined his career journey from frustration with the bureaucracy of modern healthcare to entrepreneurship in creating Indiana Orthopedic Institute, with centers in Noblesville, Terre Haute and Fort Wayne.

“We have to keep innovating,” he said. “We owe it to our patients. We owe it to our community.”

On IOI’s approach to care...

“When a patient walks into our office, everything is encapsulated. We control it. We can optimize it,” Dr. Meneghini said. “We can improve patient care that way. Through surgery, and then all the way through postoperative, either therapy or home monitoring, whatever it is, we own that space.

“You don't ever have to leave our ecosystem.”

He also pointed to how IOI integrates technology and research into patient care, citing examples such as working with TheStericube on instrument sterilization and Ospitek Inc. for tracking patient flow and helping to keep their families up to date.

On research...

With knee patients, Dr. Meneghini said: “We'll have them walk on a treadmill, look at how their limb is moving. All of you in the room walk differently. We watch all of you walk. You'll have a different, what we call, gait phenotype.

“What's happening very quickly is a personalized approach to knee replacement.”

Maybe you’ve visited us already or seen us while driving by on I-69!

In our 38,000-square-foot City of Noblesville, Ind. center, which opened in February 2025, we combine cutting-edge technology with a warm design and ample natural light to create a welcoming place for patients and their loved ones.

We selected Noblesville’s Innovation Mile District because it is a center of innovation excellence that also provides easy access for patients throughout Central Indiana and beyond.

Our redesigned website reflects the same warmth, quality, and efficiency. Please check out the new IndianaOrtho.com!

Indiana Orthopedic Institute connects patients to orthopedic care through five Indiana clinics and centers, with the Noblesville flagship anchoring the network. The others are centers in Terre Haute and Fort Wayne and clinics in Greenwood and Brazil, IN.

Our Noblesville center includes an ambulatory surgery center, orthopedic clinic, therapy services, X-ray imaging, a gait lab, and an education and research conference center.
