The illicit drug supply is constantly evolving, with new synthetic substances emerging faster than many communities can track.

Join us for a FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND community celebration bringing together Pride, culture, wellness, recovery, wellness information, advocacy organizations, giveaways, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others who are working to build a healthier and more inclusive community.
The All of the Pieces Community Wellness Initiative will be held June 12th from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Resilience Center located at 1401 Melon Street Norfolk, VA 23523.

This event is about creating space for healing, belonging, and empowerment while highlighting the importance of mental health and substance use awareness in communities that are often underserved.
Did you know?
• LGBTQ+ adults experience significantly higher rates of mental health challenges and substance use concerns compared to the general population.
• Black adults are less likely to receive mental health treatment than White adults, despite experiencing many of the same mental health and substance use challenges. In 2023, only 15.1% of Black adults received mental health treatment compared to 27.0% of White adults. (SAMHSA)

Join GEAR Recovery, Renaissance Counseling Services, and NRHA for a summer of mindfulness, creativity, emotional wellness, outdoor exploration, and fun! Youth ages 5-18 will build resilience, confidence, and social-emotional skills through engaging activities in a safe and supportive environment.

A new national report found Virginia is facing “catastrophic” shortages in community mental health resources.

Providers in Norfolk say many patients still struggle to know where to turn during a mental health crisis.

The mental health shortage goes beyond the number of clinicians available, according to local providers.

Many residents face difficulties navigating a fragmented system of hospitals, crisis lines, private practices and community programs.
