Last call for Focus Lab's June session. ⏰

Spots are filling up — if you've been thinking about it, now's the time.
Focus Lab is a weekly summer skills group for kids in grades 2–5, running Monday through Friday mornings. Facilitated by Abi Suthan, MS and Connor O'Keefe, MA, it's designed to build the executive functioning skills that help kids plan, focus, and follow through — in a small group setting that actually makes it fun.

July and August sessions are also available if June doesn't work for your family.

Understanding starts with answers.

If you've been wondering whether a psychological evaluation might be right for your child, you're not alone — it's one of the most common questions families bring to us. A psych evaluation isn't about labels. It's about understanding how your child thinks, learns, and experiences the world — so the right support can finally fall into place.

Summer is one of the best times to pursue testing. Schedules are more flexible, and there's time to act on what you learn before the new school year begins.

We offer psychological testing and evaluations throughout the summer. Reach out to learn more or schedule a consultation.

Focus Lab starts next week — and we’ll let Abi say the rest. 🧠

One of the most common things parents tell us? “I just think he’s being lazy.” It’s an easy conclusion to land on — but more often than not, what looks like laziness is actually a gap in executive functioning skills.

Getting started, managing time, organizing thoughts, pushing through something hard — these are skills. They’re learnable. And some kids just need more explicit support building them.

That’s exactly what Focus Lab is for.

Our June session kicks off next week — Monday through Friday mornings, grades 2–5, facilitated by Abi and Connor O’Keefe, MA. July and August sessions are also available if summer fills up fast for your family.

The Summer Popsicle Stand is back! ☀️🍧

One of our favorite warm-weather traditions has returned to the G3 office. All summer long, visiting clients and their families are welcome to cool off with a complimentary popsicle during their time with us — no matter what brings you through the door.

Whether you're coming in for a session, dropping off a kiddo at group, or just passing through, we hope it makes your visit feel a little warmer (in the best way).
Here's to a summer full of growth, connection, and a few sweet moments along the way. 🌈💙

Getting an evaluation done over the summer means your child starts the school year with answers — and a plan. No scrambling mid-semester, no missed class time, no waiting until things feel harder than they need to be. We have expanded availability this summer with flexible scheduling and more clinicians on hand for testing. If an evaluation has been on your radar, this is the window.

If your student spends half the summer losing track of time, forgetting what they were supposed to be doing, or just feeling overwhelmed before they even start — that's not laziness. That's executive functioning. Our Focus Lab summer series starts June 15th. Small group, real skills, and a format teenagers actually engage with.

For students in grades 2-5.

Each week covers a new topic: planning, time management, organization, task initiation, study habits, flexibility, emotional regulation, growth mindset, and more. And parents — there's a parallel group running alongside it, so your whole family is building together.

Not every rough patch means it's over. Sometimes it means you've both been running on empty and no one said anything.

Here's what a reset might look like:
→ Admitting things have felt disconnected — out loud, to each other
→ Scheduling time that's just for you two (not logistics, not kids, not screens)
→ Getting curious instead of defensive when conflict comes up
→ Asking "what do you need from me right now?" and meaning it
→ Considering couples therapy — not as a last resort, but as a tool

Relationships take maintenance. The ones that last aren't the ones that never struggle — they're the ones where both people keep choosing to show up.

Because a lot of people are still holding back because of what they think it is.

❌ Therapy is NOT just venting to someone who nods
❌ It's NOT only for people with serious mental illness
❌ It's NOT a sign that you're weak or broken
❌ It's NOT something you have to do forever

✅ Therapy IS a space to understand yourself better
✅ It IS one of the most research-backed tools for lasting change
✅ It IS for anyone who wants their life, relationships, or mind to feel different than it does right now
