On April 15, 2022, Kelly, Alex, and Ed ran Lake Merritt and grabbed a donut afterward. They agreed to do it again the following Friday—and the donut run was born! Every Friday since (216 and counting), local runners have come together, rain or shine, for a casual run and social. On this Global Running Day, we celebrate all of our donut runners, including those who have moved on to new adventures. Though our group has evolved and gotten bigger over time, the founding goal—fostering community—has remained at the heart of our weekly get-together. Whether it will be your first time or 217th, please join us this Friday, June 5 (same place and time: 7am at Snow Park) for steps, camaraderie, and fried dough!
