Taylor is a therapist, stormwatcher, and big believer that the brain she has isn’t a problem to be fixed. Being neurodivergent herself, Taylor has spent a lot of time figuring out that her brain was just wired differently. It didn’t need fixing. 🫶

When working with Taylor, you’re sitting across from someone who gets it from the inside, not someone who’s only read about your experience in a textbook. She became a therapist because she wanted to be the person she needed when she was younger: someone who holds space for the ones who feel like they’ve never quite fit in anywhere.

When we hear the world “trauma,” we might have a more extreme definition of the word in our minds. Unfortunately, this extreme connotation of the word “trauma” can prevent us from seeking support for what we’ve experienced.

Particularly when talking about EMDR, we like to replace the word “trauma” with “disturbing experiences.” This removes some of the negative connotation and includes those who are struggling with what they’ve been through but don’t feel like they can label it as trauma.
