Neurological conditions don't end.
Why should care?
A stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or another neurological condition does not come with an expiration date.

Yet healthcare is often delivered through episodes of care:

Hospital.
Structured clinical care.
Outpatient care.
Then home.

What is the CARE CLIFF?

For many people living with neurological conditions, the need for care doesn't end when they leave the clinic.

What changes is access.

A patient may go from structured clinical care—with therapists, specialized equipment, and frequent rehabilitation sessions—to trying to accomplish the very same goals at home with far fewer resources.

The need for movement hasn't changed.
The need for recovery hasn't changed.
The need for care hasn't changed.
But access has.

That is what we call The Care Cliff.

It isn't about a lack of motivation.
It isn't about patients giving up.
And it certainly isn't because clinicians stop caring.

We’ve spent the past few weeks talking about what happens when structured neurological care becomes less frequent or ends.

But identifying the Care Cliff was never the goal - Bridging it is.

No single technology, including ours, is the answer by itself. Neurological recovery takes clinicians, patients, caregivers, repetition, time, and the right tools working together.

Neuro20 is one of those tools.

Our role isn’t to replace rehabilitation — or suggest that putting on a suit solves the challenges of a neurological condition. How is a Neuro20 session customized?

Different goals call for different configurations.

Neuro20 gives healthcare professionals the ability to configure each session through multiple layers of control:
• Select a training mode - Strength, Conditioning, Cool Down, Massage or Patterned Movements
• Configure session parameters - including duration, ramp-up, stimulation time and rest time
• Select muscle groups and adjust intensity independently

This allows the clinician to configure how the system is used based on the individual, the session and the clinical objective.

As a prescription medical device, Neuro20 healthcare professionals are provided with a Clinical Protocol Guide containing protocol and settings guidance informed by 15 neurological conditions, along with the clinical rationale for selecting and applying different approaches.

What happens after the Care Cliff?

Progress made during structured neurological care may continue for a time after someone returns home.

But the neurological condition does not stop.

Without enough ongoing movement, repetition, guidance, and support, hard-earned gains can become more difficult to maintain. Independence may decline. Daily tasks may become harder. Families and caregivers may need to take on more.

This is not a lack of effort.

It is what can happen when a continuous neurological need is met by an episodic model of care.

Hard-earned progress should not have to be rebuilt every time access to care ends.

Meet Tony.

After losing his second leg and becoming a bilateral amputee, Tony struggled to walk.
He also had one big goal: one day, he wanted to walk on the beach again.

Neuro20 became a central part of his rehabilitation as he worked to rebuild strength, mobility and function — and eventually, he made it back onto the sand.

But Tony’s journey didn’t end with reaching his own goal.
