Have you ever wondered why some pain just doesn’t seem to go away… even after the injury has “healed”?

In this video, Rachelle McGuigan, PT, shares how the body can store stress and emotions physically and how CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and Visceral Manipulation may help release those restrictions to support healing and overall wellness.

✨ For Example Pain In:
• Stomach → stress around social status/success
• Liver → anger
• Lungs → grief

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light-touch manual therapy designed to help release deep tensions in the body that may be contributing to pain, dysfunction, stress, and nervous system disregulation.

Sometimes healing isn’t just physical. 💚

Your body is constantly sending message every second of every day. But how does it actually work?

From electrical signals racing through neurons to chemical “whispers” that tell your body when to move, feel, or react… your nervous system is doing a lot more than you think.

“It is pretty simple. But… the devil is in the details.”

If you’ve ever wondered how your body turns a simple touch into movement, this one breaks it down in a way that actually makes sense.

💛YES!!💚 Self care is NOT selfish!! You cannot pour from an empty cup.
Thank you for this wonderful reminder The Centered Heart- Susi Amendola!

We’ve been taught to wear exhaustion like proof
to measure our worth by how much we can carry. But a centered life doesn’t ask you to abandon yourself to be enough.

It asks you to come home, to listen, and to care for your own needs with the same tenderness you offer everyone else.

Self care isn’t selfish…it’s a return to inner calm.

There are constant distractions, energies, and noise around us and when mental stress builds, our bodies carry it too.

Tight muscles, headaches, jaw pain, poor posture, and chronic tension can be physical signs of emotional overload.

Self-care is more than a luxury, it helps prevent burnout, inflammation, and anxiety that often manifest as pain in the body.

Physical therapy isn’t only about recovering from injury. It can release stored tension, restore healthy movement, and help reconnect mind and body so you can truly feel your best. It's self-care for your body!

Self-Care, A Sacred Responsibility

Taking care of ourselves
is not a selfish act;
it is a sacred responsibility.

When we tend to our own needs,
resting when we are weary,
listening to our inner lives,
allowing space for healing,
we are not withdrawing from the world
but preparing ourselves
to meet it more fully.

Our choices grow clearer,
our presence less hurried.
We listen more than we defend.
We respond rather than react.
Care begins to flow from fullness,
not from effort alone.

When we neglect ourselves,
our patience wears thin,
and we can sometimes find ourselves feeling
exhausted
or overwhelmed.

But when we are nourished,
emotionally,
physically,
spiritually,
we carry more patience
into our days,
more clarity into our choices,
more compassion
into our relationships.

We are less reactive,
more capable of presence.
Our care for others grows steadier
because our energy is nurtured,
not depleted.

In this way,
caring for ourselves
becomes a form of generosity.
It allows us to give
without resentment,
to support others
without losing ourselves
in the process.

By honoring our own limits and needs,
we show others it is safe to do the same.
We remind one another
that wholeness is not a luxury,
but a foundation,
and from that foundation,
love has room
to breathe,
to grow,
to endure.
