Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point, LA, for Ms. Eva, 87, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point, LA.

Visitation will begin at 7 AM at the church prior to the funeral services.

Cherishing her memories are her children, Patrick (Stephanie) Garrick of Richard, LA, Derrick (Patrice) Garrick, Roderick (Amena) Garrick, and Peggy (Byron) Mouton all of Opelousas, LA; two bonus children, Marsha and Michael Wilridge; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, three bonus grandchildren, three bonus great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Garrick; five godchildren, Penny Chevis, Linda Jones, Gwendolyn Callier, Terrance Garrick and Jerome “Zaza” Citizen and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Garrick was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Edolia Bellard Garrick; her stepfather, Joseph Landry; siblings, Roland, Anthony, Mitchell, Sylvester, Lucius, Joseph, Aurlien, Willie, Theogene, Sydney and Lorena; two grandsons and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10 AM at Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas for Racheal Jacinta Harris.
Interment and military honors will be in Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Jennings, LA at 12:30 PM. Rev. Carl Sonnier will officiate the Celebration of Life.

Racheal passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at St. Josephs Hospital South in Riverview, Florida at the age of 53, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend whose presence brought warmth, strength, and joy to all who knew her.
Born on July 18, 1973, in Opelousas, Louisiana, she lived a life centered on love, family, and kindness. She believed in caring for others and making every person who entered her home feel welcome. She graduated high school in Jacksonville, North Carolina where she was a varsity cheerleader and lettered in track. She served in the United States Navy, worked in hematology-oncology and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
As a wife and mother, she was the heart of our home, the person we turned to for comfort and support. Her presence made ordinary days feel special, and her strength carried the family through every season of life....

Funeral services celebrating the beautiful life and cherished legacy of Mrs. Katherine Lois Smith, 66, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Church of God Campground in Palmetto, LA. Mrs. Smith entered eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her residence in Youngsville, LA.

Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

Following the service, Mrs. Smith will be lovingly laid to rest in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in the community of Bolden.

Pastor Dale Fontenot will lovingly officiate the services.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Logan Hayes and JaKorrie Smith; three daughters, Melanie Hayes, Precious Smith and Brittany Hayes; five brothers, Joe Nathan Hayes, James Green, Troy Hayes, Roy Hayes and Mark Hayes; one sister, Janice Hayes Semien and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carolyn Richard LeBlanc was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, relative, and friend whose life was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Carolyn was born to the late Isabella and Willis Richard and was surrounded throughout her life by a large and loving family. She built a beautiful life centered on family, love, faith, and service to others. Carolyn was united in marriage to her beloved husband, the late Collins LeBlanc, Sr. Together, they built a family and created a legacy that will continue through the generations that follow them.

Carolyn was blessed with many talents and gifts. She had a creative spirit and a remarkable ability to make things beautiful. Throughout her life, she was a decorator, former deputy, member of the color guard, pastry chef, and an exceptionally skilled typist. Her love for creativity even led her to take classes in the art of flower arranging, always finding new ways to create beauty and share it with those around her.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her precious memory her son, Keenon LeBlanc (Michael); four daughters, Likia LeBlanc Thomas (John) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Charlotte Craven (Jimmie) of Lafayette, Louisiana, Rekeycha Leday (Cedric) of Lafayette, Louisiana and Kelly LeBlanc of Lafayette, Louisiana and one daughter-in-love, Crystal LeBlanc.
