Mrs. Mary Lee Dural

A joyful celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at First United Pentecostal Church of Opelousas, LA, honoring the beautiful life and cherished memories of Mrs. Mary Lee Dural, 76, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at her residence in Opelousas, LA.

Visiting hours will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church, allowing family and friends an opportunity to gather in love, fellowship, and remembrance.

Following the celebration, Ms. Dural will be lovingly laid to rest in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Cemetery in Leonville, LA. Pastor Anthony Polotzola will officiate the services.

Mrs. Dural is survived by two sons, Troy Sam (Sheritta Mallet) of Opelousas, LA and Jonathan Sam of Arnaudville, LA; one daughter, Renee’ Sam (Quinn Jones) of Arnaudville, LA; four brothers, Doris Sam, Jr. (Virgie), Roger Sam, Raymond Sam (Ruthie) and Jackie Sam all of Leonville, LA; two sisters, Mary Gordon (Lawrence) of Leonville, LA and Shalda Leblanc (Curtis) of Parks, LA; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dural was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrel Dural, Sr.; parents, Doris Sam, Sr. and Mary Sonnier Sam; two sisters, Annaversie Sam and Jenny Sam; one brother, Tony Sam; one sister-in-law, Anna Sam and a nephew, Tony Sam, Jr.
