Smith Crossing is proud to be partnering with the the bright bags for brighter days program. Recently, residents worked with Saint Julie‘s church making lunch bags for kids who can’t afford lunches. A great day for a great cause!

The competition was on! Our dining services team had another cooking competition -- this time around each cook made their own unique mac and cheese recipe.

Residents and staff got to sample 12 different mac and cheeses during lunch and vote for their favorite.

• Camilla took 1st Place with her pulled pork mac and cheese.
• Patrice took 2nd place with her fried mac and cheese balls.
• Devon's chicken mac and cheese came in 3rd place.

Yum!

Last week, residents visited the Museum of Science and Industry to view the Anne Frank exhibit. A wonderful time was had by all!

Special Visitors Alert!
We had a paws-itively wonderful visit from Officer Przislicki and Holly, the amazing therapy dog from the Orland Park Police Department!

Holly brought plenty of smiles, tail wags, and happiness to everyone she met. Residents enjoyed spending time with her, sharing pets, and creating special memories together. It's amazing how much joy one furry friend can bring!
Thank you to Officer Przislicki and Holly for taking time out of their day to visit and brighten ours. We always look forward to seeing Holly's friendly face and welcoming personality.
