Today, the Orlando VA Healthcare System hosted our Elderly Veterans Summit, in collaboration with Veterans Counseling Veterans bringing together more than 140 Veterans for a day of resources, connection, and community!

From health and wellness information to benefits guidance, our team was proud to support those who served with programs designed to help them thrive in their golden years.

Join us today for an Elderly Veteran's Summit at the Orlando VA Medical Center starting at 10:00 a.m.

The event will bring together Veterans, families, caregivers, and organizations focused on the needs of Veterans as they age. Representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Florida’s Veteran and aging networks, health care providers, nonprofit organizations, and community groups will share information and resources to help Veterans and caregivers plan for evolving health, caregiving, and benefit needs.

Topics will include:
VA geriatrics and extended care
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
Caregiver support
Hospice and palliative care
Community Living Centers
Veterans nursing homes
Home- and community-based services
Benefits navigation and coordination between VA and community providers

Led by Veterans Counseling Veterans, Inc., in partnership with the Orlando VA Healthcare System, this FREE summit brings trusted experts and resources together in one place to help Veterans and their families better understand the services and support available as they age.

The 2026 Orlando Veterans Creative Arts Show, held Aug. 21 at the Orlando VA Medical Center, was an incredible celebration of the creativity, talent and stories of our Veterans. With more than 250 entries across visual arts, performing arts and creative writing, this year’s event was the largest Creative Arts Show in Orlando VA history and one of our most popular yet. More than 400 ballots were cast in support of our talented Veteran artists.

We are incredibly grateful to all our participating Veterans for making the 2026 Creative Arts Show such a memorable success. Congratulations to all of our artists on an amazing job, and thank you for sharing your creativity with the Orlando VA and our community!

The day was filled with meaningful moments — from connecting with valuable resources at our information tables, to hearing children sing in honor of breast cancer survivors, and ending the day side by side with an awareness walk.
