Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Overview:

The Operating Room Staff Nurse functions primarily as a professional operating room nurse in The Surgery Center and assists as needed in other areas (pre-op and recovery) to assure the highest level of perioperative care for each patient.

Education and Experience:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Alabama license as Registered Nurse (RN) and have had at least two (2) years experience in an operating room. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of general nursing and the principles and practices of OR nursing.

Today we celebrated an incredible milestone. Mellody is retiring after 45 years in nursing, including 21 dedicated years here at The Surgery Center.
Mellody Rice thank you for your years of service as a Pre-Admission Nurse. We wish you all the happiness and relaxation in this next chapter—you’ve certainly earned it!
