A child born after profound loss deserves their own life, not the burden of replacing or repairing those who died.

I would like to offer a systemic and intergenerational perspective.

1. The reparative role
Rachel's career is centered around creating and facilitating life. She chooses a man whose recent family history has become profoundly identified with death.

The danger of a reparative dynamic is that a future child may also be unconsciously assigned a task: bring life back, restore Dad's family, repair what was lost.

Family Constellations work emphasizes that children can become involved with burdens and destinies belonging to other members of the family.

The reparative role may keep Rachel’s soul tied to the past, trying to repair someone else’s marriage, love, and life, which could ultimately cause her own relationship to fail.

2. The new child
In psychogenealogy, a conception occurring within roughly 3 years after a traumatic death or major family tragedy may be explored as a reparative conception.

The child may symbolically become connected to the person who died or to the family's need to restore life after loss.

Can this child receive their own life without carrying the lives or deaths of the siblings who came before?
I doubt it.

3. Lindsay is the first wife.

Don't forget that if Rachel and Patrick were seeing each other or even if there was already an attraction between them, while Patrick was still married, from a Family Constellations perspective, this could create an additional systemic entanglement.

Rachel's relationship with Patrick would have emerged while Lindsay still occupied the place of his wife, potentially placing Rachel in a position of having benefited from another woman's loss and might impact her relationship as a burden.

Lady Di - Family Tree Burdens

1. She carried the same name with her mother "Frances". Name repetitions usually mean fate repetition.

2. For 3 generations were repeating broken marriages and cheating.

Our good luck and our burdens—l or what we may call bad luck, depend not only on our individual consciousness, but also, and perhaps mostly, on the information carried within our family tree and its morphic field.

We are looking at Lindsay's children through HUMAN emotions.

Perhaps those 3 children don't hate their mother at all.

Perhaps they can SEE what we cannot see and they are telling her:
“Mommy, heal.”
“Mommy, find peace.”
