💧Therapy Toy Tuesday💧

RBT Jordan loves Water Tables and Water Play for therapy and at home!!

Water Tables/Play are great for:
•Targeting language
•Reinforcement
•Sustaining attention
•Sensory regulation
•AND having fun!!

⛵️Tips for ways to play with water at home that encourages learning:
•Target words like: go, stop, more, cold, hot, boat, water, down, up, pour, etc.
•Take turns with who gets to pour water using “my turn”/“your turn
•Use water play as reinforcement when doing a non-preferred task
•Play with different colored boats or items to work on colors
•Use sea animals and water creatures during play to name and ask for
•Use water play to help with regulation and calming down bodies and emotions
•Give favorite toys and characters baths and work on naming body parts
•Use characters and a boat to create a story about going on an adventure at sea

Student Analyst Chelsie is a big fan of the WattBubble for therapy and at home!!

WattBubbles are great for:
•Sensory regulation
•Being used as a “flashlight” or nightlight
•Targeting language
•Being a safe replacement item

Tips for ways to play with a WattBubble at home that encourages learning:
•Target words like: on, off, go, stop, light, dark, etc.
•Use the WattBubble as a light for bedtime stories, pillow forts, and adventures.
•Use the WattBubble as a way to help regulate during non-preferred activities or high-emotion moments
•Talk about colors as the light changes to different colors
•Use the WattBubble as a safe replacement item for behaviors such as hitting, biting, chin/face pressing, etc.

✨What is a WattBubble?
WattBubbles are a portable hand light that have a squishy silicone dome shape top. When you hit the dome the color changes! WattBubbles have multiple color settings and brightness levels. Our clients LOVE WattBubbles for regulating, to use as a fidget or “flashlight,” as a replacement item, and just to use for fun!
