Ask most people how they are and you’ll hear “fine,” even on days that clearly weren’t.
Sometimes “I feel bad” is the best we can manage, and that’s okay. But if you can, try finding a more specific word. Maybe you’re disappointed, lonely, frustrated or worried. Maybe you’re just exhausted. .
Or maybe, on a good day, a little hopeful. Naming it won’t fix the feeling, but it can make it easier to work out what you need, whether that’s rest, a conversation or someone who simply listens.
So what’s the real word for you today?

We’re so used to thinking we have to pick one: strong or struggling, grateful or tired, faithful or in need of help.
But we don’t. Being strong has never meant we aren’t hurting, and asking for support doesn’t cancel out everything we’ve been through. Two things can be true at the same time, and we’re allowed to hold both.
If today feels heavy, we can reach out and talk to someone. Our mental health belongs in the future we’re working so hard for.
Which of these do we need to hear most today?

Saying no is so much easier in your head than out loud, isn’t it?
I think most of us have agreed to something we didn’t have the energy for, just to keep the peace. Then the evening comes and we’re a little resentful, and honestly a little annoyed at ourselves too.
The thing is, a boundary doesn’t have to sound dramatic. It can be as small as “I can’t do that today,” “I need some time,” or “That doesn’t work for me.” Clear words tend to protect a relationship better than a tired yes ever will.
Which of those could you see yourself saying this week?

10/19/2026

There’s a good chance you’ve said “I’ll book that appointment next week” more than once. Most of us have. Work gets busy, family needs you, and your own health quietly slides down the list.
So here’s a bit of good news: SiLou Health is now serving patients in Rhode Island. We offer mental health evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy, toxicology screening and ongoing follow up, and you can speak with us in English, Español, Français or Haitian Creole, whichever feels most like home.
If you’ve been putting it off, maybe this is the nudge. Call 401-602-9226.
Who do you know in Rhode Island that might need to see this?

Being strong doesn’t mean you have to face every challenge alone.

Resilience isn’t about hiding your struggles or pushing through pain in silence. It’s about knowing when to pause, reach out, and accept support.

You can be strong and still need help. Seeking help is not weakness; it’s part of being resilient.

Who are we?

Why the work of SiLou Health is so important to our Chief Executive Officer.

What a wonderful opportunity it was to support the incredible work of GeeBee Productions last night at the grand premiere of the Documentary Screening of President William R. Tolbert! 🎬✨

It was a beautiful evening celebrating creativity, courage, talent, hard work, and dedication.

Congratulations to the entire team on this amazing accomplishment! Wishing you continued success and many more milestones ahead!

Picture a long week. You’re tired, you’re skipping meals, and you keep telling yourself you’ll slow down “after this one thing.” Then one evening you put on a song you love, and for a few minutes you feel like yourself again. That small moment isn’t random. It’s your mind asking for care.
Watch till the end for five gentle reminders:
🤍 Rest well and eat right
🤍 Do what you enjoy
🤍 Open up to someone you trust
🤍 Move your body
🤍 Be kind to yourself
None of it fixes everything overnight, and that’s okay. Caring for your mental health is a sign of strength, and it usually starts small.
Save this for a rough day, and send it to someone who needs the reminder.
Which one are you working on this week? 👇

Ever noticed how everything feels heavier when you haven’t eaten properly all day?
Yeah, same. When life gets stressful, meals are usually the first thing to slip. We grab whatever’s nearby, or we skip it altogether and tell ourselves we’re “too busy.”
But looking after your mental health often starts with the basics. Regular, nourishing meals can support your mood, your energy, and your overall well being, especially when things feel like a lot.
It won’t fix everything, and it’s not meant to. It’s just one small, kind thing you can do for yourself today.
What’s one meal you can actually sit down and enjoy today?

“Remember the first time you were told you were “too much” for just saying how you felt?
A lot of girls hear it early, and some carry it for years. They learn to shrink, stay quiet, and keep their questions to themselves.
But look at this picture. This is what it looks like when girls feel safe: loud laughter, zero shame, and no one editing themselves.
Confidence tends to grow when young people know their voices are taken seriously and their emotions are treated with care. That’s the kind of space we want to help build, at home, in school, and everywhere in between.

Ever had your heart racing or your mind spiralling, and wished you knew how to calm yourself down?

Anxiety can show up in unexpected ways, and some things we do to cope may not help as much as we think.

We put together a quick quiz to test what you know about anxiety and share a few simple ways to manage those overwhelming moments.

Let’s see how well you know your anxiety coping skills.

How many did you get right, and which answer surprised you the most?

10/13/2026

You didn’t flake. You didn’t fail. You just outgrew something.
I think we’re all a bit scared of changing our minds, right? Like someone’s keeping score. But the plan that made sense a year ago might not fit who you are today, and honestly, that’s okay.
Changing your plans, your priorities, or your perspective doesn’t make you inconsistent. Sometimes it’s just growth, showing up quietly.
So if you’ve been feeling guilty for wanting something different, consider this your permission slip.
What’s one thing you’ve outgrown lately? Tell us below.
