A heartfelt thank you to the 7th and 10th Judicial Circuit Family Violence Coordinating Councils for trusting Dr. Reinking and me to facilitate today’s training on Trauma. Thank you also to Sangamon County Public Health for hosting us.
We are grateful for all the participants who chose to join us for this day-long training. We had a variety of professionals from the social services, therapists, educators and administrators, LEOs, and court workers.
Trauma can be a heavy topic to talk about for several hours at a time but we hope that at the end of this you were left with a little bit of hope, a couple more skills, some reminders to take care of yourselves while you care for others, and a bit of momentum to continue in your trauma responsive efforts.
