We’re excited to introduce our newest interns at Edge Counseling & Wellness — Brittney and Marisa!

They are now accepting new clients and have availability for both regular sessions and pro bono counseling services for those who may need a more accessible option for care.

Our interns bring compassion, dedication, and strong clinical support as they begin their work with clients under supervision, helping expand access to mental health services in our community.

If you or someone you know has been looking for support, this is a great opportunity to get started.

Lily’s favorite day of the month has officially arrived… and it involves one very important package. 🐾📦

It’s BarkBox day.

From the moment she realizes it’s here, everything else in the office becomes secondary—careful inspection, enthusiastic unboxing supervision, and immediate approval of all contents (sometimes before they even leave the box).

It’s safe to say monthly enrichment is taken very seriously around here.

We asked the Edge Counseling & Wellness team some very important questions… 😄

Who would you trust to cook you a meal?
Who would make the best playlist?
Who would be the most helpful in a zombie apocalypse?

Turns out our team has some strong opinions about each other’s hidden talents, survival skills, and music taste.

Watch along to see who got nominated for what — and which coworkers earned the team’s confidence.

Midweek update from Lily:
She’s doing what many of us wish we could do on a Wednesday… taking a nap. 🐾😴

As our Chief Morale Officer, Lily believes rest is productive, naps are necessary, and no meeting should interfere with a good snooze spot.

A gentle reminder this Wednesday that slowing down and taking a break is sometimes exactly what you need.

It’s time for the final edition of South African Word of the Day with Charne and Brynn! 🇿🇦✨

We’re ending with another confusing one… because apparently in South Africa, there’s a very specific phrase for “we’ll do it later… just not right now.” 😄

Watch along to learn the final word in the series and see if you can keep up with Charne as she continues to challenge everything we thought we knew about language.

It’s time for South African Word of the Day: Round 6 with Charne and Brynn! 🇿🇦✨

This might be the most surprising one yet… because in South Africa, “robot” does not mean what you think it means. 🤖👀

Watch along to find out what this word actually refers to — and prepare to be just as confused as Brynn.

At this point, we’re learning something new every week and questioning the entire English language in the process.

Therapists asking about homework from last session like they’re not fully prepared for the exact look clients are about to give them. 😅

To be fair, therapy homework usually isn’t worksheets and pop quizzes — it’s things like setting boundaries, practicing coping skills, journaling, or having that uncomfortable conversation you’ve been avoiding for 3 years.

And honestly? We get it. Growth can be hard homework sometimes.

Lily was apparently born in the correct century. 🐾

No hunting, no surviving in the wild, no fighting for meals… just couches, treats, air conditioning, and a staff dedicated to meeting her every need.

She may not have survival skills, but she does have elite lounging abilities—and honestly, that seems to be working out just fine for her.

That moment when you realize you scheduled back-to-back clients all day… and suddenly lunch, water, and bathroom breaks become ambitious goals. 😅

As much as we joke about it, this is also your reminder that caring for others works best when we make space to care for ourselves too. Even small moments to reset, breathe, eat, or pause matter more than we think.

Consider this your sign to stop ignoring your own basic needs today. Your nervous system will thank you.
