The Summit Family Therapy team recently toured the new Meadowview Behavioral Hospital in Peoria, and we were impressed by the thoughtful design and commitment to behavioral healthcare reflected throughout the facility.

We are thankful to welcome this important resource to our community and are excited about the opportunities to collaborate with Meadowview in expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health services.

Together, we can help create a stronger, healthier community for those we serve.

🎙️ Podcast Friday! 🎙️

We're excited to share that Dr. Ryan Stivers recently collaborated with the Guide Through Grief Podcast, joining the conversation on topics that matter deeply to so many people: grief, healing, mental health, and the courage it takes to ask for support.

At Summit Family Therapy, we believe that open conversations help reduce stigma, foster connection, and remind people that they don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. That's why we're grateful for opportunities like this to partner with others who are passionate about promoting mental wellness and supporting individuals through their grief journeys.

A special thank you to the Guide Through Grief team for creating a space where these important conversations can happen.

When life feels overwhelming, sometimes the smallest activities can make the biggest difference. 🪨🎨

Rock painting is more than just a creative hobby. It can help reduce stress, improve focus, encourage mindfulness, and provide a sense of calm in the present moment.

Watch Kate Mills, LCPC, explain how this simple therapeutic activity helps people reconnect with their creativity while supporting their mental well-being.

Have you ever tried rock painting or another creative activity to help manage stress? Share your favorite in the comments. 💙

Relationship decisions aren't always black and white.

You can love someone and still feel disconnected. You can have history together and still wonder if something is missing. And sometimes, the absence of a dramatic problem doesn't mean the relationship is meeting your needs.

Erica Ray explores why staying or leaving isn't always obvious and how to evaluate what's right for you with compassion and honesty. 💙

⚾️ Summit Family Therapy Night at the Ballpark! ❤️ Peoria Chiefs

Tonight, we traded our offices for the stands as the Summit Family Therapy team gathered at the Peoria Chiefs game for a well-deserved Employee Appreciation Night!

We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing team of therapists, administrators, and support staff who show up every day with compassion, professionalism, and dedication to the clients and families we serve. Taking time to connect, laugh, and enjoy a summer evening together is just one small way we celebrate the people who make Summit such a special place.

Thank you to our team for all you do. We are better because of you!

⚾️ Go Chiefs! ❤️ Go Team Summit!

You Don't Have to Heal Alone.

At Summit Family Therapy, we believe healing happens in connection.

That's why Dr. Courtney Stivers is leading Connections: A Healing & Self-Restoration Retreat for Women, an intimate weekend retreat designed for women who are ready to move beyond simply surviving and reconnect with themselves.

If you've been carrying the weight of past wounds, chronic stress, burnout, or the demands of caring for everyone else, this retreat offers a space to pause, reflect, and heal in the company of supportive women who understand.

Throughout the weekend, you'll experience:

✨ Trauma-informed workshops
✨ Guided healing and self-reflection activities
✨ Meaningful connection and community
✨ Private accommodations and nourishing meals
✨ Time for rest, renewal, and restoration

📅 November 13-15, 2026
📍 The Carnegie | Chillicothe, IL

Space is intentionally limited to create a safe and supportive experience.

Because your healing matters. Because you deserve support. Because you don't have to do it alone.
