A lot of families we talk to expect ABA therapy to focus mainly on behaviors to reduce. At Momentum, we are focused on skills to build.

Depending on each learner’s goal, ABA therapy might work on:
- Communication, from first worlds to complex conversations
- Self-regulation, recognizing and managing big feelings
- Daily living skills and independence
- Academic readiness

We also offer social skills groups and simulation environments at select Momentum locations. Social skills groups are for learners who are ready for peer practice in a structured, supportive setting. Simulation environments help learners become familiar with challenging environments like a dentist's office or hairdresser to reduce stress and build confidence.

Individualized programs are created with every goal set based on what matters most for the learner, so no two programs look the same.

Our Simulation clinic in Byron, MN turns everyday moments into learning opportunities.

Learners are able to experience real-life enviroments in a safe, controlled experience to build independence, community readiness, and confidence.

We help build skills that make community moments like eating out, going to the dentist, and getting a haircut less stressful and more successful for everyone.

Momentum's simulation experience offers things like :

- Community safety routines

For most families in Minnesota, the answer is YES!

Momentum accepts most major insurance plans, and our team will walk you through the entire process from verifying your benefits to getting your child started with ABA.

If you’re new to ABA therapy, here’s what you actually need to know, without the jargon.

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. It is a therapy approach with decades of research behind it. ABA is one of the most widely recommended support programs for autistic children, teens, and adults.

But what matters more than the definition is how ABA works. Here at Momentum, ABA is about:
- Understanding what motivates and matters to your learner
- Building real skills in communication, daily living, and social connection
- Working WITH your learner, not ON your learner.
- Involving caregivers as active partners at every step

Every learner’s program is individualized based on their needs. No two learners are the same, and their therapy shouldn’t be either.
