The presence of my book in Lindsay Clancy’s home has been treated as a clue. It isn’t one. Neither is the content of a frightening thought.

**Free Community Yoga on the Dock returns Friday, September 4, from 6–7 pm—and this month, a familiar friend is helping us keep it free.**

We’re so pleased to welcome back **Judy Pasdach, LCSW**, who is sponsoring Community Yoga on the Dock for the **second time**.

One of the things we love most about this program is that it creates connections in more ways than one. You get an hour outside, on our beautiful low dock on the Petaluma River, to move, breathe and spend time in community—and we get to introduce you to local wellness professionals who are doing meaningful work right here in Petaluma.

Judy is a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker supporting parents during the birthing years, including those navigating **perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pre-term and medically complex births, and the NICU journey**.

She offers an integrative, mindfulness-based approach as well as EMDR therapy, with both in-person and video sessions available.

By sponsoring Yoga on the Dock, Judy makes it possible for us to offer this community gathering at no charge—and helps us build the kind of community we want The Floathouse to be part of: one where people know what resources are around them, know one another, and feel supported.

**Thank you, Judy, for showing up for this community again. 💙**

Even when a postpartum mom doesn't feel good - even when her symptoms are severe - she can often muster the energy to do what needs to be done. She can care for her baby, go to work, make dinner, answer the questions, and keep moving through the day.

Her functioning can be misleading to those around her. Others may see what she's accomplishing and assume she's okay.

She can be deeply distressed and still be a capable, loving, competent mother.

Both can be true at the same time.

Mothers Care Support hosts a new parent community support group, Tired Parents, Tiny Humans, every Thursday 10:30-12pm at Gather Petaluma. It is free to all. There are many buildings on the campus and a courtyard that are used to serve the whole community. Meg Hamill, the Executive Director, is creating something special here in Petaluma

Today we are spotlighting Gather Petaluma! This new community space sits on 5 acres on the west side of Petaluma, with a beautiful campus that hosts a wide variety of offerings. From a Montessori preschool, to a community kitchen, and spaces that host a wide variety of public and private offerings, Gather Petaluma is here to serve the community.

We've had the honor of partnering with them to host several programs - from Breathwork classes and a Tai Chi series in their sanctuary, to an Authentic Friendship For Women Group and a Men's Group.

Gather Petaluma is just getting started, with founding Executive Director, Meg Hamill, leading the way. If you would like to share your enthusiasm and ideas for what Gather Petaluma's amazing campus can become for you and your community, please reach out to Meg at [email protected].

Moms Are at War Over Sleep Training..........Is a headline we saw today. We are all used to these type of clickbait headlines.

Moms are Not at War, they are parents with different ideas, cultures, needs and children. This a small (and sometimes big) way to divide and isolate parents, especially moms. Respect differences.
