💙 Bringing People Together. Enriching Lives Every Day.
Every grant tells a story of lives transformed.
As the public healthcare charity and fundraising arm of Jefferson Methodist Hospital, the Methodist Hospital Foundation is committed to investing in organizations that improve health, wellness, and quality of life throughout South Philadelphia. Since 1998, the Foundation has awarded more than $2.5 million in Community Grants to grassroots programs that create stronger, healthier communities.
🌟 Community Grant Spotlight: Caring People Alliance – Marconi Older Adult Program
For adults age 50 and older, the Marconi Older Adult Program is much more than a gathering place—it's a vibrant community where friendships flourish, wellness is encouraged, and every day offers new opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive.
Participants enjoy nutritious meals, fitness activities, technology classes, social and recreational events, and community outings that promote both physical and emotional well-being. The program also encourages volunteerism, empowering older adults to stay engaged while giving back to their community.
As one of South Philadelphia's valued community centers, the Marconi Older Adult Program proudly supports the City's poverty reduction initiatives by providing meaningful resources, activities, and connections that help older adults live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Through partnerships like this, the Methodist Hospital Foundation is helping ensure that South Philadelphia's older adults remain active, connected, and an essential part of the community they helped build.
