You can’t know where you’re going if you forget where you came from. The hair game might be saturated now, but back when I was coming up, inspiration didn’t come from social media or algorithms it came from being in the room with real talent.

As a young, upcoming stylist at Beauty Studio Suites, there were times I genuinely wanted to throw in the towel. But watching this Lady and the way she moved, quietly taking notes, and indirectly learning the game from her was what kept my fire burning when giving up felt easier. She was captivating, and she kept me moving forward.

Today, I’ve built my own brand and grown into an icon in my craft, but true icons respect the ones who paved the way. The hair industry has lost its way a bit when it comes to honoring those who inspired us, but I’ll never be too big to look back and pay respect.

Thank you for showing me what mastery looks like, indirectly teaching me the game, and raising a beast in this industry. Legend behavior! 💐👑
