Earlier this month, Roxborough Memorial Hospital proudly attended the 2026 HAP Annual Achievement Awards, celebrating hospitals for their innovation and commitment to patient care. Notably, Roxborough’s Acute Rehab Unit received recognition for the first time as a Prime Healthcare Hospital.

The award-winning initiative, "Optimal Operations: Reinvigorating the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit via a Strategic Plan Focused on Growth and Outcomes," enhanced the inpatient rehabilitation program, improving access to post-acute care and hospital efficiency. Out of 125 entries, Roxborough's data-driven revitalization of its Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) stood out in optimizing operations.

CEO Shawn Parekh emphasized the importance of this transformation, stating, “Our IRF reflects strategic leadership and a focus on patient-centered recovery.” This recognition from HAP underscores the team's dedication to excellence in community-based rehabilitation.

An estimated 10 million Americans live with osteoporosis, a condition that weakens bones and increases the risk of injury. Regular exercise, a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, and routine screenings can help protect bone health.
