St. Chris has been a second home to Claire Alminde for nearly 40 years. Today, we’re proud to share that Claire has been named president of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, while continuing to serve as chief nursing officer.

A lifelong Philadelphian, Claire has built her career here one patient and one family at a time. She knows our hospital, our community and, most importantly, the children and families we are privileged to care for every day.

In Claire’s own words, “I’ve always believed there is no better healthcare team in Philadelphia. What makes St. Chris special is our people and our shared commitment to caring for children and families, no matter the circumstances. That will remain at the heart of everything we do.” ❤️

This award recognizes St. Chris's longstanding commitment to addressing food insecurity and helping ensure children, families, and community members have access to nutritious food. 🌟 We’re proud to share that St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children has earned Titanium status – the top recognition – in the Donate Life PA Hospital Challenge!

As part of the month-long challenge in April, hospitals engaged in a variety of activities to increase awareness of the life-changing impact of organ donation.
