KAP Training + education for therapists Full Living is led by Karen L.

Full Living is a psychotherapy practice rooted in thoughtful care, clinical depth, and guided support. We specialize in director-led therapy matching, helping individuals find a therapist who truly fits their needs, goals, and preferences. Instead of navigating endless directories alone, our very human director helps you figure out a good move for your healing journey. In addition to therapy match

ing, Full Living offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals who feel stuck or are seeking deeper therapeutic work. Our KAP offerings are grounded in preparation, integration, and ethical clinical care; including our group retreat, *Becoming Your Own Ally*. We also provide training and education for therapists, supporting clinicians as they begin the journey to onboard KAP into their practices, and then to continue to thoughtfully explore and deepen their understanding of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy within a psychotherapeutic framework. Smith MSS, LCSW, a seasoned psychotherapist with decades of clinical experience. Karen personally facilitates the matching process and oversees all therapeutic offerings, ensuring care is thoughtful, well-paced, and deeply aligned with each individual’s needs. Psychedelics bring new opportunities into therapy through radical shifts and angles in perspective, but with ketamine in particular, it is accompanied by an anesthetic calming of your body and nervous system. Much of what we work to integrated in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy is the feeling of goodness and well being experienced duirng the short medicine journey.

Here's the thing about many professions: good enough can be good enough. Sometimes, competent will do. Therapy doesn't work that way. A therapist does actually have to be good.

It demands talent, gift, and proclivity from the very start — and then, a lifetime’s commitment to learning. It requires a personality built to tolerate years of not knowing, of failing, of sitting with suffering you can't always transform. It demands a mind creative enough to never assume it already understands the human in front of it, no matter how many trainings or treatment models leaveraged to understand the task of living well.

Get yourself in real therapy with a real therapist who does deep, rele vant, life changing work. If you have a therapist letting you just hang out and bitch about your life, time is a wasting :)

I suck at getting, being, or staying present when I am alone. I can seriously get lost in random and scattered thoughts, which don't do anything for anyone. Intentionality is the solution. Candles are a handy tool :)

Take good care of yourselves. Candles sprinkle a bit of magic on anything.

Being in charge of and responsible for your own mood will give you more influence over it anyway. Plus, it just really isn't another person's job. You may have someone in your life who is open to helping you when your mood is bad, but it still isnt their responsibility.

Post work is the big one that plagues couples. Be creative. Take a shower when you get home, or listen to calming or raging music on the way home, go for a run or stretch, light a candle and take deep breathes. Do what you would do if you were single. And then go greet your partner :)

People have lots of misconceptions about therapy. Unfortunately, sometimes is is based on lived experience! Like a therapist who just let you babble on and on. That isn't what happens in real therapy.

In real therapy , we would stop you, to see what you were hoping to communicate, and to help you notice if it was landing...if you were feeling heard. We will help you learn how to notice if what you are saying is helping you felt heard.

For a thoughtful therapy match in PA, reach out. A quick 15 minute video call with me, the director, will allow me to connect you wtih a well matched therapist.

My favorite ketamine specific psychedelic features that make it particularly well suited to psychotherapy aims:
• Anesthetic feature calms the nervous system, for all journeys
• Short acting (20 to 40 minutes) allows for bit-sized, metabolizable epiphanies
• Dissociative component facilitates parts work and development of an observing ego
• Safe, legal, easy on the body

Finding out if you are eligible is a quick google form and a 15 minute free consultation to see if KAP is a good match for the work want to do.

Seriously, it can help you change your life. Now. Link in my bio.

Life can be brutal and disruptive and throw you completely of course. I had a brain swell a year ago today that almost cost me my life. It left my brain needing year log recovery, so a total shift in how I pull off my life.

I have always prided myself at being able to get back on my feet no matter what knocks me down in life. But this one took some time.

Resilience and formidability and stick-to-it-ness are essential life skills. Good times, bad times, we will always need to strong alliance with ourselves, and a kind tone of reassurance.

My "flagship" therapy program is called "Becoming Your Own Ally"... because it is my superpower. I totally have my own back, which is another essential life skill. Be good to yourselves peeps. It can be rough going!

Watching a good rain storm is one of my favorite of life's "simple" pleasures.
