American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania We help after disasters, supply blood, teach lifesaving skills and serve veterans & military.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Region of the American Red Cross serves approximately 4.2 million people in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Our region provides food and shelter in emergencies, assists members of our armed forces and their families, teaches lifesaving skills, collects lifesaving blood, and so much more. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.

It's hard to believe a year has already passed since rocking out the 20th anniversary of 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia's blood drive.

– The American Red Cross has supported service members, veterans and their families for more than a century.

Pictured on the left during WWII, Red Cross workers Juanita Morrow and Wilhemina Barrow from NYC serve cookies, doughnuts and coffee to boost the morale of service members in Maryville, France. Today, the Red Cross provides support on nearly all military installations in the U.S. and on about 45 overseas installations, including Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Pictured on the right, a Red Cross worker in Karliki, Poland serves an ice cream float to service member Tobias Hall. Even though Hall is far from family, the Red Cross helped lift his spirits that day.

“These treats remind me of my kids and bring me a little closer to home,” he said.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We're humbled by their sacrifice and inspired by their legacy of courage, compassion and commitment to others.

Today, we carry that spirit forward by serving communities in need, supporting military families and helping those affected by disasters. As we gather with loved ones, let us also take a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

- The American Red Cross offers free workshops designed to support the unique challenges of military life. Led by trained facilitators and mental health professionals, these sessions focus on communication, coping skills, the mind-body connection and healthy relationships.

Now available in the U.S. after a successful two-year run overseas, Mindful Movement is a new 45‑minute experiential workshop that teaches practical relaxation techniques through gentle movement and breathing. It’s adapted from our popular Mind‑Body Workshops to better support U.S. service members and their families at home and abroad.

All workshops are free, with some available virtually, and can be scheduled at times and locations that work for you—including evenings and weekends.
