🌟 Intern Spotlight 🌟

My name is Izzie Fedynich, and I am so excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! 🫐❤️

I'm originally from Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University in May with my Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. 🎓📚 I am currently completing my Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics through Texas Tech as well. 📝❤️

Throughout my undergraduate degree, I served as a Nutritional Sciences Ambassador during my sophomore year and as an RD Mentorship Program Student Coordinator during my senior year, where I helped recruit new participants through social media and online communication and worked alongside a team of coordinators to manage the program. 💻🤝

My work experience also includes serving as a Nutrition Assistant at the RHN WIC Clinic in Plainview and working at Texas Tech's Sports Nutrition facility, where I had the opportunity to support student-athletes through nutrition. 🏋️🍎 I also enjoyed volunteering with the Student Nutrition Organization and Women's Service Organization at local nonprofits, as well as volunteering at UMC Health System in Lubbock, where I helped with fundraisers and assisted in the Pharmacy and Dialysis Units. ❤️‍🩹

Outside of nutrition, I love volunteering, trying new recipes, going on walking trails, reading a good book, and trying new things with my friends and family. 🍳🌿📖☀️

🥤🍽️✨ Taste-Testing Oral Nutrition Supplements ✨🥤🍽️

Aramark Dietetic Intern Kayla Ramos share's what she's been up to during Clinical I!

"During Clinical I, I had the opportunity to taste-test the oral nutrition supplements we recommend and provide to patients in the hospital. 🥤

This experience allowed me to become more familiar with the products we offer and gain a better understanding of what our patients are receiving. 🥗

It was both a fun and informative experience, as I was able to review nutrition labels, compare different supplements, and learn which products are most appropriate for various patient needs. This hands-on experience helped me feel more confident in my knowledge of oral nutrition supplements (ONS) and their role in the clinical setting. 📖 💚

I am excited to continue building my knowledge and gaining more hands-on experience throughout my clinical rotations!" ✨

🌟 Intern Spotlight 🌟

Hi! I'm Paola Malo Kery, and I'm excited to begin my dietetic internship with Aramark! 🎉

I recently graduated from Kansas State University with degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition & Health, and I'm continuing my education through K-State's master's program in Dietetics. 🎓

What drew me to dietetics is the intersection between science and everyday life. I love finding ways to turn that information into something practical, understandable, and useful for the person in front of me. My previous experience in wellness and education has made me especially interested in helping people feel more informed and confident when making decisions about their health.

During my internship, I'm looking forward to expanding that perspective through clinical nutrition, patient care, and food service management while learning how nutrition operates across an entire healthcare system.

Outside of school and work, you'll usually find me cooking, staying active, learning something new about health and nutrition, or diving into a new project. ✨

I'm looking forward to a year of learning, growth, and becoming the dietitian I've been working toward becoming!

🌟 Intern Spotlight 🌟

Hello! I am Kelly, and I'm so excited to begin my Aramark Dietetic Internship at Boulder Community Health! 🤩

My journey to nutrition has been a career change. I previously worked in health and food-related public relations and marketing after earning my journalism degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Go Mustangs!). While in my graduate program at MSU Denver, I was honored as the Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2025 Student of the Year and completed my Master of Science in Nutrition this spring. I am thrilled to finally begin this next chapter.

I live in Louisville, Colorado, with my husband, our two boys 👬, and our goofy dog, Gidget. 🐶 Outside of school, you'll find me cooking, running with friends, competing on the Louisvillians Masters swim team. 🏊 or exploring the mountains. I can't wait to apply what I have learned and continue to grow in the Aramark Internship Program! ✨

🌱 Announcing the Nourish ERG Scholarship Recipients from the Aramark Dietetic Internship 🌱

The Nourish Employee Resource Group (ERG) is proud to recognize the first recipients of the annual Nourish ERG Dietetic Internship Scholarship: Paola Malo Kery, Katie Harnen, MS, Kayla Ramos, and Uma Narula! 🎉

The four fall-cohort recipients each received $3,000 toward their internship tuition, reducing financial barriers as they prepare to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists.

The scholarships are supported by Aramark Collegiate Hospitality, Aramark Healthcare+, Aramark SeniorLIFE+, Aramark Student Nutrition, Aramark Correctional Services, Aramark Workplace Experience Group, reflecting a shared investment in future dietetics talent. 🤝 Additionally, two scholarships will be available each year for the spring cohort of dietetic interns.

At Aramark, ERG’s are voluntary, employee-led groups made up of individuals with common interests, backgrounds, or demographic factors. Each ERG is open to all Aramark employees regardless of their background, and provides opportunities for networking, outreach, professional development, and more.

✨‘A Day in the Life of an Aramark Dietetic Intern’✨

Katie Harnen, MS's typical day includes:

🍎 Early mornings coaching group fitness classes
🍎 Meeting with her preceptor and preparing for the day ahead
🍎 Learning, asking questions, and gaining hands-on experience

Katie's Food Service Management rotation includes shadowing Nutrition and Patient Services Managers and Directors, learning the many components of hospital foodservice operations, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at everything it takes to feed hundreds of patients, staff, and visitors each day.

While some days can be long and challenging, each experience brings Katie one step closer to achieving her goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
