Another successful Community Vision Day at the UPMC Vision Institute!

This past weekend, the Department of Ophthalmology welcomed community members for a day dedicated to expanding access to essential vision care. Through screenings, education, and personalized support, volunteers helped connect individuals with resources that can make a meaningful difference in their eye health and quality of life.

We're back from ARVO 2026 — and what a week it was! 🌐
Pitt Ophthalmology was proud to join thousands of eye and vision researchers from around the world for one of the most important gatherings in our field. It was an incredible few days of science, learning, and community.
A true highlight was hosting the Pitt OPH reception — a chance to bring our extended community together, reconnect with longtime colleagues, and meet new collaborators who share our passion for advancing vision research.
