I’m not saying conditions like PCOS, insulin resistance, menopause, or certain medications don’t affect weight.
They absolutely can.
What I’m saying is that GLP-1 medications don’t cause weight loss through some separate magic pathway. They work by helping many people eat less consistently through reduced hunger, cravings, and food noise.
That’s also why some people find themselves in a plateau. If your intake has gradually increased over time, the calorie deficit that helped you lose weight may no longer be there.
This isn’t about blame or willpower. It’s about understanding how these medications work so you can troubleshoot when weight loss slows down.
Have you ever hit a plateau on a GLP-1?
