Breast Health starts with knowing your own body, understanding that risk goes beyond family history, and remembering that you don’t have to navigate questions or concerns alone.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re sharing a few reminders:
• Know what’s normal for you so you can talk with your healthcare provider about changes.
• Make room for conversations about your personal risk and screening.
• Know where to turn for support. Marshall’s Cancer Resource Center is here for our community, close to home.

At Marshall Foundation for Community Health, we believe caring for our neighbors includes helping them feel informed, supported, and connected to care.

You're Not Alone.

❤️ This is what community care looks like.

When Cameron Park resident Janet Langley suffered a cardiac arrest at her home, local first responders stepped in to save her life.

Months later, Janet had the opportunity to reunite with the firefighters and paramedics who gave her a second chance.

Her story is a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together, from the first responders who answer the call to the healthcare professionals who help patients heal, rebuild their strength, and move forward.

We are incredibly grateful to the first responders who saved Janet’s life and proud of Marshall’s role in supporting her continued recovery through its Cardiac Rehabilitation program.

Because lifesaving care doesn’t end when the emergency is over. ❤️

Thank you to KCRA 3 for sharing Janet’s inspiring story and recognizing the people who make a difference in our community.

Janet Langley, 76, met the firefighters and paramedics who revived her after a cardiac arrest at her Cameron Park home, expressing her heartfelt gratitude.

Getting care can mean navigating more than a diagnosis. Distance, everyday expenses, and uncertainty about what comes next can all create challenges for our neighbors.

A gift to Marshall Foundation for Community Health’s General Fund gives the Foundation flexibility to respond where needs are greatest—helping support patients and strengthen care in our community.

Your generosity helps care go further, close to home. 💜

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, you’ve already set aside dollars with one purpose: to give.

DAF Day is a reminder to put those charitable dollars to work—and an opportunity to consider the impact they can make right here at home.

A grant from your DAF to Marshall Foundation for Community Health can help strengthen local healthcare and support the needs of our community, today and into the future.

You can recommend a grant from your DAF at any time of year. DAF Day simply gives us a moment to ask:

❔️ Could the dollars you’ve already set aside for giving make a difference for your neighbors?

Learn more about giving through your DAF or contact the Marshall Foundation team for assistance.

What does community health mean? 💜

It starts with quality care close to home—and reaches into our everyday lives. Prevention, recovery, education, connection and access to support all help build a healthier community.

At Marshall Foundation for Community Health, we connect community generosity with opportunities to support the health and well-being of our neighbors throughout El Dorado County.

In this episode of Foundation Answers, we explore what community health can look like—and why it matters to all of us.

Thank you to the employees of CAPTRUST’s Folsom office for their generous $10,000 donation to the Marshall Foundation, supporting care for children in our community.

We’re grateful for their support of local children and families and for helping strengthen compassionate care close to home.

Every gift has a purpose because dedicated people are ready to turn generosity into action for local patients, families and neighbors.

We are grateful for everyone who helps make care possible throughout El Dorado County. 💜

Every birth story is different. Every mother deserves to feel heard, supported, and cared for. 💜

In this video, Dr. Martin Entwistle and Camille Borba share how Marshall’s Birth Center puts that belief into practice—with thoughtful attention to detail, options in care, and support for the different paths a delivery can take.

The Marshall Foundation for Community Health is proud to support the Birth Center and the care that helps local families begin their next chapter. Our community’s generosity helps us continue supporting this work, close to home.

And tomorrow, we’re celebrating the stories that began here! 🎉
