What an incredible day celebrating love, inclusion, and community at the Portland Pride Parade! The Cedars showed up in full color, and our hearts are absolutely full. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

From our residents and staff waving flags to marching down the street with our banner, we loved every moment of celebrating together. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on, dance with us, and celebrate love in all its beautiful forms!

There’s something truly special about spending time with animals, and our residents at The Cedars experienced that firsthand today.
The gentle snuggles from the baby goats brought smiles to every face. Experiences like these remind us that simple moments can have the biggest impact, lifting spirits and creating cherished memories.

Join us for our monthly Dementia Support Group tonight, facilitated by Susan Raychard MOTR/L, CDP.! This month, we will explore practical and compassionate ways to create meaningful engagement for individuals living with dementia. Through hands-on examples and real-life strategies, caregivers will learn how to adapt tasks based on cognitive abilities, modify activities to support remaining strengths, use sensory engagement to foster connection, and reduce frustration while encouraging participation.

Whether supporting someone in the early, middle, or later stages of dementia, Susan will share simple yet effective tools to help caregivers build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create more positive and meaningful daily experiences. All caregivers, family members, and community members are welcome.

A very big thank you to Leaping Frog Farm who stopped by yesterday with some furry friends to meet.
There were plenty of smiles to go with the sunshine as our residents enjoyed a special visit from some adorable goats and bunnies. We can't wait for your next visit!

When Southern Maine decides to give us another rainy, foggy day, we don't let the weather spoil the fun! 🌧️⛳
Our residents brought the mini golf course indoors and turned a gloomy day into a hole-in-one kind of afternoon. From friendly competition to plenty of laughs, it's proof that a little Maine weather can't keep us from making great memories together.
After all, if you can handle mud season, surprise showers, and a nor'easter or two, you can certainly conquer an indoor putting green! 😊🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

🎭 Murder, mystery, and plenty of laughter filled the stage as our Atrium Theater Group presented their newest play, Next Victim Please!

The audience enjoyed an afternoon of comedy and suspense as the eccentric Murdock family gathered at Murdock Manor for the reading of a very important will… with hilarious twists along the way. From dramatic entrances to laugh-out-loud moments, our talented cast delivered a performance to remember!

Bravo to the entire Atrium Theater Group for bringing such energy, creativity, and fun to our community stage! 👏✨
