It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, LeAnn Gammon, who passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Many may know that several days have passed before sharing these words. We wanted to take the time to reflect on LeAnn, what she meant to Fallbrook Woods, and how we could possibly put into words the loss of someone who was such a big part of our family.
Some people deserve more than a hurried goodbye, and LeAnn was certainly one of them.
LeAnn was more than an employee at Fallbrook Woods—she was truly part of the fabric of our family.
Over the years, she wore many hats, worked in Dining Services as a Cook Supervisor, as a PSS, in Housekeeping, and most recently in Life Enrichment as an Activities Assistant. Wherever help was needed, LeAnn was there.
To say she was dependable doesn’t quite capture it. LeAnn was the person who would give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice. She showed up. She helped. She cared. And she could always be counted on.
But there was also so much LeAnn in the little things we will remember.
Her love of Moxie and Aroma Joe’s. Her enthusiasm for Beech Ridge, and Country Music. Her creativity— with diamond art, and her infamous dirty sodas concoctions. And, of course, karaoke.
LeAnn was a karaoke superstar, with her signature song Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Today, that feels especially bittersweet.
LeAnn brought her own unmistakable personality, humor, creativity, generosity, and heart everywhere she went. Fallbrook Woods will simply not be the same without her.
We will miss the coworker who was always willing to jump in. We will miss the friend who gave so freely. We will miss the laughter, and all the wonderfully unique things that made LeAnn, LeAnn.
Fallbrook Woods will be honoring LeAnn’s memory in a special way in the coming weeks. Once a date and details have been finalized, we will share that information with our Fallbrook family so that those who knew and loved her can join us in remembering and celebrating her life.
Our deepest sympathies remain with her family, friends, and everyone whose life was touched by her.
LeAnn, thank you for everything you gave to Fallbrook Woods and to all of us. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
