Wow, I can’t believe we’re already in Aquarius season ♒️
The last few months have been busy for my family & I’m sure most of you understand how quickly time can be claimed by loved ones.
I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas filled with joy & laughter 🤗
I also hope you’re still on track for any New Year’s resolutions you may have made✨
A few things I learned over the last few months:
Clarity is empowering
Energy follows movement
Emotion is energy in motion
A crazy schedule really helps you identify your own weaknesses, whether they’re muscular, mental or emotional.
Strengthening your muscles is just as important as stretching, moving your joints, stability work & strengthening your frontal lobe (which controls your voluntary muscles & issues commands for movements). You can strengthen it by doing simple things like practicing mindfulness & learning new skills.
If you can’t get full range of motion, start where you are & don’t forget to breathe. Some things take longer for some people to achieve & that’s ok.
✨Making it your goal to move a little each day can turn into something magical✨
Massage therapy works best when your entire body is able to rest during & afterwards.
✨When your nervous system feels safe, it’s easier to receive the benefits of massage therapy✨
Making time for self-care that reduces stress on your body is just as important as exercise & eating foods that fuel your body which sustain your energy & improve so many aspects of your life.
🍵 My favorite self care ritual is drinking tea. I love the smell of tea & I love adding honey or lemon, sometimes both & sometimes I get wild & add raspberries.
This is an excerpt from AMTA’s article titled 6 Winter Self-Care Tips. The full article can be found here:

“Warm Beverage Rituals with Functional Ingredients: Self-care doesn’t always mean movement. Sometimes it’s about nourishing rituals. Think functional beverages, especially teas and warm lattes infused with adaptogens like ashwagandha, reishi or turmeric.
Creating a five- to 10-minute ritual around preparing a warm drink not only supports immune health but also becomes a mindful moment of comfort. Enjoying your beverage without screens—just you, the cup and the quiet—helps signal your nervous system to relax” (AMTA, 2025).
If you need assistance finding a tea, Optimal Health has so many yummy flavors to choose from.
