David Marvin Hensley Sr., 66, of Huntington, West Virgina, passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2026, at home. He was born to the late John Hensley and Esther Hensley on February 8, 1960. He was also preceded in death by three sisters Shirley Wilson, Sharon Kesler, and Rebecca Hensley, and two brothers Jeff Hensley and Johnny Hensley. He is survived by his loving wife Hazel Hensley of 47 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter Crystal (Josh) Trogdon, son David (Misty) Hensley, seven grandchildren Josh (Stefanie) Midkiff, Desiree (Brandon) Adams, Jasmine (Cameron) Crank, and Jonathan Trogdon, Jeremy (Kierston) Hensley, Heaven Hensley, Kaylee (McKenzie) Holderby, eight great grandchildren Brantley, Alex, Ayden, Braxton, Carter, Adrian, Harper, and Penelope, two brothers Mark Hensley and Jimmy Hensley, sister Mary Blevins, two special brother-in-law’s Gary Caroll and Bobby Bays, and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired as a diesel technician from Ryder Truck Co. Pastor and friend Hewlett Trogdon will conducting the service. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Burial will follow the service at Ridgelawn Memorial park, Huntington, WV. Jack Unroe, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday September 7, 2026 at Four Winds Community Jackson, Ohio. He was born July 27, 1936 in Crown City, Ohio to the late Ernest Lee and Ruby Mae Flowers Unroe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan Unroe; son Tommy Unroe; daughter Kathy Unroe; and sister Sue Elizabeth Wray. He was a retired machinist from TWA with 32 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran; a member of American Legion Post #127 Gallipolis, Ohio, and a member of the Gallipolis Elks. He attended Victory Baptist Church. Jack is survived by one sister Diana (Dale) Randolph of Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers Jerry (Louise) Unroe of Crown City, and Richard (Deanna) Unroe of Crown City; one granddaughter Amanda (Dustin) Lewis of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday September 11, 2026 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Stephen and Rev. Cora McCoy Elkins; a son Tracy Warren Nicely; and nine siblings Gracie Acord, Theresa Tackett, Grady Elkins, Goldie Ulbrich, Greta Watts, Lois Baker, Jackie Elkins, Betty Adkins, and Bonnie Jeffery. He is survived by parents Vicki and Matt Dixon; his big sister LaTasha England; sister Denise (Alayna) Bradley; several aunts and uncles; and his closest friends that he considered brothers Jordan Jones, Devonte Braye, Deonte Braye, and Cory Thompson. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Ann Marcum, 70, of Huntington, WV, originally from Columbus, OH, who passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the kind of person whose love could be felt in everything she did. Her home was a place of comfort, her arms were always open, and her heart always had room for everyone. She gave her love freely and left an unforgettable mark on the lives of all who had the blessing of knowing her. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Judy and Gene Adkins. She is survived by her four children: Judy (Lenny) Jackson, Jessica (Jonathan) Skaggs, Jennifer Marcum, and David Marcum; her siblings, Ronald Adkins, Bonnie “Sissy” McGonigle, and Wally Adkins; and her ten grandchildren, Keosha (Shane), Shaeonna (Hayden), Lenny, Janayah, Jailuh, Noah, Jayonna, Alijah, Brooklyn, and Kyla. She also leaves behind a multitude of great-grandchildren and special friend Danny Stiff who will carry her memory and love with them. Eric Stuart Renfroe, 65, of Proctorville, Ohio, went to be in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. He passed at home surrounded by loved ones. Eric was born in Palo Alto, California to Carolyn Working Renfroe of Waterford, NY and the late Robert Lee Renfroe of Sun City West, AZ. In addition to his mother, Eric is survived by his loving wife, Dalene Foster Renfroe, his daughter, Rachel Spurlock (Seth) of Huntington, WV, son, Alex Renfroe, (Yoshi) of Asheville, NC, and three wonderful grandchildren, Emmi, Gavin, and Saga, his brother, Greg Renfroe, of Waterford, NY, and stepmother, Christina Renfroe, Sun City West, AZ. Eric lived in California (twice-as a child and adult), Ireland, England, Missouri (twice), Mississippi (Air Force Training), Arkansas (Air Force), Texas, Tennessee, and Ohio. In addition to living in so many places, he traveled to many of the states, both for pleasure and work, and to many different countries. Eric was a jack of all trades. If something needed to be repaired or even built from scratch, he could do it. In the Air Force he was an Avionics Navigation System Specialist. He enjoyed sailboat rigging, repair and remodeling through the years, as well as many types of woodworking design and finishing. One project that meant a lot to him was designing and building playing and learning areas in a Children’s Hospital in Tennessee. He was born on November 9, 1939, in Ona, WV, to the late Willie and Ethel Rayburn Bowen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marie Bowen; sister Madeline Carter; sisters-in-law Donna Bowen and Louise Tsismanakis; and brother in-law Vernon Minor. Sonny is survived by two children Lisa (Rob) Hanna and Dave Bowen; two grandchildren Christian (Zoe) Hanna and Dacoda Hanna; one brother Phillip Bowen; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
