🌱 Thoughtful Thursday 🌱
Some things grow heavy the longer they’re held,
Old wounds, old stories, and truths never dealt.
We carry them forward and call them our own,
Forgetting some burdens were meant to be thrown.
A gardener knows what no longer should stay,
Some weeds must be pulled so the roots find their way.
You don’t have to nurture what steals from your peace,
Sometimes tending yourself means choosing release.
Not everything lost was intended to last,
And healing can’t flourish while gripping the past.
Keep what brought wisdom, let bitterness go,
Because lighter hands leave more room to grow.
So look at your garden with thoughtful new eyes,
Notice what’s blooming and what slowly dies.
You honor your journey, not holding it tight,
But choosing what follows you into your light.
🌱 Reflection: What are you still carrying simply because you’ve carried it for so long?
