Sometimes doing the right thing ā€œsucks.ā€

That’s the reality.

Sometimes choosing yourself, setting a boundary, walking away, or doing what you know is right doesn’t feel good in the moment.

The amount of rage I’ve swallowed to remain kind would’ve buried you.

But I’m learning that strength isn’t always about reacting. Sometimes it’s about having every reason to lose it, and choosing not to.

I can only control me.

And I have to remind myself of that just as much as I remind my clients.

I can’t control how people respond.
I can’t control their choices.
I can’t control their behavior.

I can control my response, my boundaries, my choices, and the person I choose to be.

Training my mind… training for life.

Because this was never just about training my body.

It’s about learning how to regulate, how to choose myself, how to respond instead of react, and how to keep moving forward.

Hello Beautiful people!

I have a lot of wonderful followers! Thank you for visiting my page. šŸ’š

I’m the CEO and founder of ALIVE (still awkward to say that bc I am def human first lol), and a bilingual therapist who turned my own survival into a mission. I’m still figuring out this whole business and CEO life but I am def getting more comfortable by the day.

I’m not here as an influencer, and this page is not a substitute for therapy or professional mental health support.

I’ve walked through some incredibly dark places, and instead of allowing those experiences to define the rest of my story, I chose to turn my pain into purpose.

Through therapy, movement, trauma-informed kickboxing, advocacy, and unapologetic vulnerability, I help people reclaim their power, reconnect with themselves, and recognize that healing doesn’t have to look one specific way.

I don’t just tell people they can move from surviving to ALIVE.

I’m living proof that it’s possible.

This is why I built ALIVE.

This is why I keep showing up.

This is why I will continue creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, empowered, and reminded that their story isn’t over.

From surviving to ALIVE. šŸ’š

And if nobody has told you lately…

I’m so glad you’re ALIVE.

Transparency šŸ’š

I wasn’t expecting this email.

I have been private about some things and open about others. I actually wanted to keep this one private too.

But this was the first email I saw this morning, and I immediately shed tears. My body was shaking from all the emotions.

I felt like I had to share.

Not to brag. Not to prove anything.

But to remind you all to keep being the very ā€œtoo muchā€ version of you.

Keep dreaming too big.
Keep showing up.
Keep creating what doesn’t exist yet.
Keep taking up space.

Because sometimes, while you’re questioning yourself, people are talking about your work in rooms you aren’t even in.

And maybe you’re not ā€œtoo much.ā€

Maybe you’re exactly what the moment needs.

From surviving… to Alive. šŸ’š

With 100% transparency, because that’s how I’ve always shown up on this professional page:

I struggle with imposter syndrome. Every single day. Sometimes 5x a day.

I also struggle with my worth, some deep-rooted things that I continue to work through, unpack, and heal.

But then I read the reviews.

And they remind me that I am capable. I am making an impact. And I am worthy.

I’m incredibly grateful for the people who take a chance on me, who believe in my work, and who give Alive a chance.

Every review, referral, connection, and partnership means more than you probably realize.

So here’s to continuing to show up, even when that little voice tells me I’m not good enough.

Cheers to new connections, new partnerships, and continuing to build something that is bigger than me.

From surviving to Alive.

ā€œPeople can do dark, monstrous things to you… and you can still choose not to become the darkness they brought into your life.ā€

What someone did to you may change you.
It may break parts of you.
It may leave scars people cannot see.
You probably will even question your worth.

But it does not have to define who you become.

You can take the pain, the betrayal, the trauma, the moments that almost destroyed you, and turn them into compassion, purpose, boundaries, strength, and a reason to help someone else feel less alone.

Some people survive what was meant to destroy them and become the safe place they once needed.

That is powerful.

So when those moments of sadness come upon you, go to a coping skill that you know works for you.

I chose to just hit the bag for a half hour and go for a run to clear my thoughts. It was the perfect therapy I needed at that moment to regulate my emotions.

Healing is hard. But I’m determined to keep fighting for me and I encourage you to keep fighting for you.

Week after week, this kid put me to WORK!!!! He challenged me and would even try to embarrass me in my groups lol!!! Mind you this kid is taller than me!!! Yet this is what he handed me today. šŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒ

Session 1- I was ALL excited. I had everything ready for group, my plans were together, and I was feeling good.

This teen boy walked in, looked around and said:

ā€œOh hell no.ā€

…and walked right back out. šŸ˜‚

I was like, ā€œGreat! This is going to be interesting.ā€

And it was.

Week after week, he challenged me. He pushed back. He tested me. He made me rethink how I approached him.

And then there was kickboxing.

The power behind his punches was intense. What could easily look like aggression on the outside felt like something much deeper underneath.

He even had me ordering a mouth guard for the next session because I knew I needed to meet him where he was when I bit my own tongue in a punch of his.

But I didn’t give up.

I came back every single week ready for him and would not entertain him and was quick with the smart responses as well.

Ready for the attitude.
Ready for the resistance.
Ready to be challenged.
Ready to try something different.

And he did challenge me. Every. Single. Week.

But somewhere along the way, something started to change.
He knew I would arrive early to set up and would ask to talk to me before group started. He would ask the hard questions. He would raise his hand to participate.

Sometimes the kids who push us the hardest are the ones asking, without ever saying the words:

ā€œAre you going to give up on me too?ā€

And my answer was always:

No.

I’m not here to force a kid to trust me.

I’m here to show up consistently enough that, eventually, they realize they don’t have to protect themselves from me.

That’s trauma-informed work.

Sometimes healing doesn’t look like a breakthrough.

Sometimes it looks like a teenager who walked out of the first session…

coming back the next week.

And the next.

And the next.

And finally opening up about his abandonment issues. Now we get to work.

Just scrolling through some stories and see my design brought to life by Unreal Custom Designs with his 3d printing. 🄹

I got keychains made for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention ā€œOut Darkness Walkā€ on 9/26.

I wanted a powerful message as a reminder. 🄹

I can’t wait to see them in person.

I’m so glad you are alive. šŸ’œ

There are moments in this work where I have to stop and really take it all in.

One day, I’m walking into a room having a meeting with Executive Directors, shaking hands with CEOs, and realizing, wait… I’m a CEO too. 🄹

Then I’m walking into a room with teenagers carrying deep-rooted trauma.

And suddenly, the titles don’t matter anymore. I don’t show up as the CEO. I show up as Minnie, even in how I dress.

It’s me sitting with them.
Listening.
Teaching.
Having individual conversations.
Sitting through the crying sessions.
Navigating the arguments.
Holding space when things get heavy.

Then Tuesday comes around… and these teens are looking for me.

And somehow, in the middle of all of it, trust is being built.

Then I walk out of that building with hugs, full-circle moments, and a new partnership that means so much more than a business relationship.

It means another opportunity to reach young people.

Another opportunity to remind them that their trauma does not get to define their future.

Another opportunity to help them move from surviving to ALIVE.

And honestly?

I’m still sitting here trying to find the words.

Because ā€œgratefulā€ doesn’t quite seem big enough.

I’m humbled. I’m honored. I’m emotional. And I’m incredibly proud of the work Alive is becoming.

Sometimes I have to remind myself…

This is what I prayed for.
Not the title.
Not the recognition.

The impact. šŸ’š

Reframing the Mind 🧠

I was asked if I was afraid to do my first HYROX.

Honestly? I’m excited.

Not because I think it’s going to be easy. I know it’s going to challenge me physically and mentally. There will probably be moments when I question myself, want to slow down, or wonder what I got myself into. šŸ˜‚

But I’m reframing the way I look at it.

Instead of asking, ā€œWhat if I can’t do it?ā€
I’m asking, ā€œWhat if I can?ā€

I’m excited to prove to myself that I can, indeed, do hard things.

This isn’t about proving anything to anyone else.
It’s about showing myself that the woman who once doubted herself can still step into something uncomfortable, push through the fear, and finish what she started.

I don’t need to know that I can do it before I begin.
I just need to be willing to try.

The only person I am in competition with is the older version of me.

And that’s the mindset I’m taking with me into my first HYROX.

ā€œHealing is not a destination. It’s a journey.ā€

There is no finish line where everything suddenly stops hurting. No day where you wake up and realize you’re completely ā€œfixed.ā€

Healing looks like taking two steps forward and sometimes one step back.

It looks like learning to sit with the feelings you once ran from.

It looks like setting boundaries you were once afraid to set.
It looks like choosing yourself, even when you’re still questioning your worth.

It looks like resting without feeling guilty.
It looks like forgiving yourself for the ways you survived.

Some days you’ll feel strong.
Some days you’ll feel like you’re starting all over again.

You’re not.

You’re learning.
You’re growing.
You’re becoming.

Healing isn’t about becoming the person you were before the pain. It’s about becoming someone who knows they deserve to live beyond it.

Keep going.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to keep choosing you.
