On Friday, August 28th, residents traveled the world during our World Cruise event! With 10 unique ports to explore, guests experienced diverse cultures, enjoyed live entertainment, and sampled delicious international cuisine. It was a wonderful day of adventure, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who made our voyage such a success!

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the wildfires in the Spokane area. We are grateful that Fairwinds - Spokane remains safe and that our residents and team members are doing well. And we are thankful for the first responders, firefighters, and everyone helping keep residents safe throughout the area.

To help seniors who have been displaced, Leisure Care has created the Washington Assistance Program - offering reduced rent and waiving residency fees for 90 days at Washington communities with availability. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable place where seniors can find stability while determining their next steps.

Our Washington communities are also collecting essential items, including clothing, food, and toiletries, for people affected by the fires. Donations may be dropped off at a participating Leisure Care community.

We enjoyed a full-day excursion to Sequim today to experience the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula and its famous lavender farms.

Our adventure began with a scenic ferry ride to Kingston, where we stopped for a fabulous lunch at Borrowed Kitchen Bakery. After driving to Sequim, we took a detour through resident Karen's community, where she lived for 30 years, making the trip especially meaningful.

We then visited Rain Shadow Lavender Farm, where owner Kathy graciously provided a personal tour and shared clippings from the fragrant lavender blooms. Next, we stopped at B&B Family Farm to take in even more beautiful lavender fields before exploring the exhibits at the Sequim Museum & Arts Center.

We concluded our day with an incredible dinner at The Greenhouse Restaurant in Gig Harbor. I would put it on the Supper Club list if it wasn't so far away! Thank you to everyone who joined, and to Andrew for his excellent driving.

The opinions were strong, the answers were hilarious, and we’re pretty sure this debate is far from settled. 😂

Someone told us it was summer in the Pacific Northwest… so you’ll find us outside making the most of it! ☀️🌊🌿

From sailing across the beautiful Puget Sound, to enjoying a delicious waterfront dinner at Salty’s on Alki, to soaking up the sunshine on the trails at Paradise Valley Conservation Area, July has been full of fresh air, beautiful views, and even better company.

At Fairwinds Redmond, every adventure is another chance to make memories, share laughs, and enjoy this incredible place we call home. Here’s to making every sunny day count! 💙
