🧴 KEEP IT OR TOSS IT? Check Your Sunscreen! ☀️
Before you head out for summer fun in Southeast Idaho, take a look at that sunscreen bottle hiding in your beach bag or bathroom cabinet.
✅ Keep it if:
• It's within the expiration date
• The texture, color, and smell are unchanged
• It has been stored in a cool, dry place
❌ Toss it if:
• It's expired
• It looks separated, grainy, or discolored
• It has a strange odor
• It has been exposed to excessive heat, such as sitting in a hot car
Expired sunscreen may not provide the SPF protection listed on the label, leaving your skin vulnerable to sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer.
Protect your skin by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day, and don't forget to reapply every two hours when spending time outdoors.
