✨ Doula Testimonial ✨

“I’m so grateful to say that Sara was present for all THREE of my births, most recently in February for the birth of our “baby Dot.” She was born fast and furious— Dot was born at home only about 15 minutes after Sara and my midwife arrived!

The loving support I got from Sara through all my pregnancies, births, and postpartums has exceeded what I ever imagined the job description of a doula could be. She was there for phone and text support in the later weeks of pregnancy, and as a helpful check-in after each prenatal appointment. She was there with calm reassurance when I was in labor, and gentle guidance to reposition when I thought I might give birth lying on my stomach (strange, I know). She supported me in feeding all three of my babies— empowering me with information about milk production, and supporting me to find creative solutions when I did not produce enough. I think back on all three of my births primarily as events of empowerment and awe at what our bodies are capable of, and I know that a lot of that perspective is because of Sara.” 👶🏼♥️💪🏼

✨ Doula Testimonial ✨

“Working with Sarah was one of the best decisions we made during pregnancy. From the very beginning, she was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. During pregnancy, she took the time to answer questions, share education and help us feel informed, empowered and confident going into labor.

During labor, her support was truly invaluable. She brought such a calming presence, helped us look at low intervention options and knew exactly how to support me physically and emotionally through every stage. Neither of us can imagine going through the experience without her steady encouragement and care. She was highly present during every minute of our long labor and we really felt that.

Sarah continued to provide such kind care postpartum. She checked in thoughtfully, offered reassurance during recovery and the newborn transition, and made us feel genuinely cared for beyond the birth itself.

If you’re looking for a doula who is compassionate, attentive, empowering, and deeply committed to her clients, I cannot recommend Sarah enough. We are so grateful for her support throughout this entire journey and couldn’t have imagined going through this process without her. Ultimately, hiring Sarah and feeling armed with all of the information we learned through her and mybirth classes, paired with a tiny bit of luck and baby cooperation, led us to have the type of birth we imagined and safely brought our son into this world and for that we couldn’t be more grateful!”

LACTATION PREP: RETURNING TO WORK (Online)

It can cause some uncertainty as we think about being away from our baby. We will explore in depth how to prepare in a way that feels doable and eases your mind on the logistics.

In this class we’ll cover protecting your milk supply while pumping & when to start storing it at home. Safe milk storage, ni**le types and paced bottle feeding is also covered. We’ll look at fl**ge sizing (I can size you while you’re here) and making sure you understand your pump’s settings. And you’ll see what a real life working mom’s schedule can look like- how to balance your busy day and collect your milk. Supplemental handouts are included and lots of time for Q&A. Go forward feeling prepared for this next stage! Taught every other month by Sara Krivanec, CLC. Recommended to be taken around 3-4 weeks postpartum.

Upcoming sessions: May 27 or July 21 from 6-7:30p on Zoom.

If you are working with a MyBirth doula, you will receive a 10% discount- find your code in your welcome letter. Visit https://mybirthrva.com/classes-education to register —> LINK IN BIO
