Ridgefield Station celebrated Purple Flag re-accreditation for dementia care during an Aug. 20 event.

This week, we gathered with residents and associates to celebrate Ridgefield Station's incredible milestone of receiving a Purple Flag Excellence in Dementia Care reaccreditation! Thank you to the President of Connecticut Assisted Living Association, Christopher Carter, for recognizing this achievement. This reaccreditation would not be possible without our dedicated associates, who continue to give compassionate care to our residents everyday. Thank you to staff and residents who joined and celebrated with us!

Another great CHIRP concert in Ballard park tonight with Cimmaron 615. Only 3 more concerts remaining for the summer. We’ll be back next Thursday for Los Texmaniacs.

A Ridgefield Station thank you goes out to Ridgefield High School students Madison Rojas, Janie Kim and Gia Kim for sharing their beautiful flute talents and part of their summer with our residents. We hope to see them back again soon.

“Give something away day” gave us a chance to have a conversation about “things,” and letting go of them. Residents brought in a variety of items they chose to give away and shared why they were ready to part with them. Those items were then taken to the Ridgefield Thrift Shop to become someone else’s new find. Scarves, blankets, a wine rack, leather briefcase, pillows, tea cups and other items. Proceeds feeding back into the community.
