Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home Serving Our Community with Grace and Compassion Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home has a long history of serving families in the community.

This family-owned funeral home started in 1911. Through generations of service, the team has optimized the funeral-planning process, ensuring quality results for every event. Regardless of your budget, culture, or religion, you are welcome to contact this experienced funeral planning team for assistance. Every family receives a personalized experience to create an event that will be remembered for

years to come. At Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, the funeral planning staff is committed to providing the community with full-service funeral solutions. Families have the opportunity to design traditional services if desired. Or, alternative events can be coordinated such as honoring the life, memorials, or celebrations of life. Each family is unique, which is why everyone receives custom funeral services. If you are considering cremation, then Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home is the team to call. The staff can assist with direct cremation, which means the deceased is reduced to ashes without a formal funeral or memorial. Various cremation packages are also available if the family would like to keep it simple. Alternatively, it is common for families to coordinate cremation with a full funeral or memorial service. Other available support includes worldwide shipping, transfer to other states, urns, caskets, grief resources, permanent memorialization, military honors, and more. Sometimes, funeral services need to be planned without advanced notice. Other times, families reach out for preplanning support so they are ready for the future. Our funeral planning staff is just a phone call away, and ready to serve in the moments your family needs support. These services are offered in all of the nearby cities including Riverhead, North Babylon, Ridge, Deer Park, Coram, and more. Additionally, several other funeral homes are available in the area for your convenience. Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home gives your family a beautiful place to gather where you can share memories of your loved one. Please join us on July 3 at 10:30 a.m. in Section 23 to honor U.S. Army PFC Garfield McConnell Langhorn, Medal of Honor Recipient, and to welcome him to his final resting place. U.S. Army PFC Garfield McConnell Langhorn, who received the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary act of valor in the Vietnam War, will be interred at Calverton National Cemetery on July 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in Section 23 on Garfield Langhorn Road. PFC Langhorn was only 20 years old when he bravely sacrificed himself to save the lives of others. His platoon was on a mission to rescue two U.S helicopter pilots who had been shot down on a heavily wooded slope in Vietnam. When an enemy gr***de landed in front of PFC Langhorn and several wounded men, his fellow soldiers said he didn't hesitate - several reported he had said, "someone's got to care!" before throwing himself onto the gr***de and absorbing the blast: https://www.war.gov/News/Feature-Stories/Story/Article/3265416/medal-of-honor-monday-army-pfc-garfield-langhorn/. Please join us to honor this tremendous hero.
