Corewell Health East hosted its second annual Medical Education Research Day on April 15, 2026, showcasing a wide range of scholarly work from across the organization.

The event featured 97 virtual presentations spanning research, quality improvement initiatives, and case reports. Participants represented seven clinical sites and 27 residency and fellowship programs, alongside contributions from three partner medical schools and the Pharmacy Department.

Our team members made a mark at the Boston Marathon!

Dr. Joe Schramski, Dearborn ER Residency Director, and his sister Meredith Halloran, Physician Assistant, Dearborn, completed the race alongside colleague Mindy Fernando, Nurse Practitioner, Dearborn ER.

When asked about training for the race, Mindy said, “Staying healthy allows me to be my best for my family, friends, and patients.” She went on to share, “Living a healthy lifestyle, eating well, and staying active are things I’m passionate about sharing with my patients as well.”

In our latest Story of Impact, Matthew Denenberg, MD, MHA shares how his team at Corewell Health Children’s in Southeast Michigan is working with PPN, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and Region V for Kids COE to transform the EMResource Pediatric Dashboard from a local resource into a national pediatric dashboard that will help hospital teams and patients across the U.S.
