Join Lyngblomsten in helping community members in need this Thanksgiving! We're collecting non-perishable food items through November 17 to donate to Keystone Community Services. Bring in canned goods, boxed meals, or pantry staples like peanut butter and rice to the reception desk at the care center on our Como Park campus. For each item you bring, you'll receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a cozy fall gift basket. 🍂🍁

Then join us at 2 PM on November 17 in the care center for a Turkey Trot, prize drawing, and fall treats. We are currently seeking volunteers to push residents around the block for the Turkey Trot. It's the spookiest time of the year! Residents and employees at the Como Park campus celebrated Halloween last week with treats, games, and costumes. We hope you also had a fun, spook-tacular weekend!

Family caregivers are focused on taking care of others, and this month is an opportunity to support and celebrate them. If you’re a family caregiver, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Lyngblomsten staff and residents at the Como Park campus competed for a pumpkin decorating crown this week. Teams crafted scenes, built models, and dressed their pumpkins inspired by the power of their imaginations. Enjoy scrolling through the results! 🎃

Residents of The Heritage at Lyngblomsten built wire sculptures this week. They twisted heavier silver wire into place as a support, creating the outlines of a cat, ice cream cone, cactus, and other shapes, before adding decorative elements and color.

Today marked the triumphant return of weekly popcorn to the care center lobby. The popper needed to be replaced, and after a month of waiting, this tasty treat was ready for everyone on campus to enjoy—just in time to mark the end of National Popcorn Poppin’ Month! A huge "Thank You!" to the volunteers who prepare and serve popcorn each week. 🍿
