October is National Chiropractic Health Month, and this year the spotlight is on joint mobility with the theme Joint Efforts. Your joints do a lot of quiet work every day: bending, rotating, absorbing shock, and most people never think about them until something starts to hurt.

One simple habit to build: a slow, controlled range-of-motion stretch for your hips, shoulders, or ankles each morning before you get moving. A few minutes of gentle movement can loosen stiff joints and set the tone for the rest of your day.

Ready for a check-in on how yours are holding up? Book a mobility tune-up at miniclinicmn.com.

Fall in Minnesota is made for getting outside. Cooler air, changing leaves, and trails that are not sweltering all make it easier to stay active, and staying active is one of the best things you can do for your joints and spine. Fort Snelling, William O'Brien State Park, and Interstate Park are all within reach for an easy hike or bike ride this season.

Regular movement keeps stiffness at bay and supports whatever chiropractic care you are already doing. Get outside, get moving, and let your body thank you for it. Questions about staying active without aggravating an old injury? Reach out at miniclinicmn.com.

September is National Recovery Month, an observance best known for recognizing mental health and substance use recovery. It is also a fitting reminder that recovery, in any form, deserves attention, including recovery from a car accident.

Whiplash, stiffness, and headaches after a collision do not always show up right away, which is exactly why waiting to get checked can let a minor issue turn into something more stubborn. Chiropractic care supports your body's natural healing process, helping restore movement and ease pain before it settles in for the long haul.

If you were in an accident this year and never got checked out, now is a good time to change that. Call or text (612) 280-6606 to book a recovery-focused appointment.

Your neck carries the weight of your world, so a few minutes of care each day goes a long way. Try this simple routine between meetings or before bed:

🔹 Sit tall and gently tuck your chin, holding for 5 seconds
🔹 Roll your shoulders back and down to release tension
🔹 Rest your neck in a slight backward tilt for a minute or two, if that feels comfortable

Small habits like these ease the strain from hours of looking down at a screen and can cut back on tension headaches over time. Want a hands-on approach? Visit Mini Clinic for personalized guidance: miniclinicmn.com

Preventative adjustments are not just for people already in pain. Regular care keeps your joints moving the way they should, eases tension before it builds into something bigger, and supports the kind of steady, everyday wellness that is easy to take for granted until it slips away.

Think of it the same way you would think about routine maintenance on anything else you rely on daily. A little consistency now saves you a lot of catching up later. Ready for a tune-up? Book a wellness adjustment at miniclinicmn.com.

The jolt from a minor collision can strain muscles and shift the spine in ways that are not always obvious right away.

Headaches, neck stiffness, and lingering tension often show up days later, once the adrenaline wears off. Getting checked early gives your body a much better shot at healing correctly instead of compensating for weeks or months.

If you have been in a fender bender recently, even a minor one, call or text Dr. Jenny at (612) 280-6606 to schedule an evaluation.

Backpacks, sports schedules, and early wake-up calls are almost here again. As kids gear up for a new school year, their spines take on more stress than most parents realize, from a heavy bag slung over one shoulder to sudden bursts of activity on the field or court.

A quick posture check now can catch problems before they turn into complaints of neck or shoulder pain later in the semester. Keep an eye on how your child wears their backpack (both straps, snug against the body) and encourage a proper warm-up before practice or games.

If something still feels off, bring them in for a back-to-school spinal check at miniclinicmn.com.

Back-to-school is an exciting time for many; however, it is also a time when school-related injuries can run rampant. For example, a backpack that is too heavy or worn incorrectly is a leading cause of preventable back pain in children and teens.

It’s important to remember that a backpack's load should be no more than 10% to 15% of the wearer's body weight. The wearer should adjust both shoulder straps every time, place heavier books closest to the back, and, if possible, make frequent locker stops throughout the day to lighten the load.

We hope you find these backpack safety tips helpful. And as always, if your child has been experiencing back, neck, or shoulder discomfort, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We are here to help.
