We've Moved!!
🧡✨️IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!✨️🧡
I've waited so long for this moment. This has been one of the longest and wildest emotional roller-coaster of my life and it finally happened!
I AM OFFICIALLY A HOME OWNER!! 🏡 😌
Its been 6 long years of waiting. A long 2 years of searching and the longest 40 days of processing and we finally have found a home to grow into. Buying a house is definitely an emotional roller-coaster. We have waited so long for this moment to finally arrive. I will definitely grieve leaving my long time hometown of Gulfport and the greater St Pete community. 16yrs is a long time to root in but this is such an immense opportunity for the growth of my business and family.
This past month we have been settling and nesting, getting used to our new normal. The apothecary is still in boxes as we build out its new home. I am exited to share the process with you all.
I am forever grateful for all the years and love shown ❤️ 💛
The Heart of Late Summer: Nourish Your Center
As we step into the heart of Late Summer, I want to share a little seasonal wisdom with you, something you can carry at home, whether or not you’re able to join us in circle.
Late Summer is the true Earth season in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s warm, golden, grounding, a moment when the world ripens and the body turns toward nourishment, steadiness, and clarity.
Here’s a gentle bundle of Late Summer teachings for your own practice:
• Seasonal Energetics: Earth season is all about digestion, assimilation, and returning to center. It’s the pause between the outward Fire of Summer and the inward Metal of Autumn. A time to gather yourself.
• Emotional Themes: Grounding, clarity, steadiness, and sweetness. When Earth is balanced, we feel supported and clear. When it’s taxed, we may feel heavy, worried, or scattered.
• Herbal Allies: Think warm, supportive, digestive‑friendly herbs. Ginger for circulation, chamomile for ease, hawthorn for the heart, burdock for grounding, and astragalus for gentle immune support.
• Foods for Balance: Simple, nourishing foods that support the Spleen and Stomach. Root vegetables, lightly cooked greens, squash, millet, rice, warming spices, and seasonal fruits. Think soft, warm, easy‑to‑digest.
• A Simple Late Summer Ritual: Sit somewhere quiet with a warm cup of tea. Place your hand on your belly. Take three slow breaths. Ask yourself: "What do I need to feel supported right now?" Let the answer be small and doable.
Late Summer reminds us that nourishment is not indulgence, it’s medicine. It’s okay to slow down, to soften, to steady yourself before the winds of autumn arrive.
With warmth,
Sumayah
