We are honored to share that our Executive Director, Alisha Smith, was recently featured by Oregon Voyager.

This article shares part of Alisha’s personal journey with Recovery Outreach Community Center, from first walking through ROCC’s doors during one of the hardest seasons of her life, to now helping lead the organization and create that same kind of safe, supportive space for others.

At ROCC, we believe people are more than their worst day. We believe healing is possible, recovery is personal, and community can change the direction of someone’s life.

Our work is built on lived experience, peer support, compassion, creativity, and connection. Every day, we see what can happen when someone is met with dignity instead of judgment and hope instead of shame.

ROCC is proud to collaborate with Marion County Health & Human Services, Willamette University, Cherriots, and City of Salem as planning partners for this free community event focused on heat safety, resources, cooling support, and neighborhood wellness.

🎳 Join us for a Bowling ROCC-Out! 🎳
Come strike up some fun with ROCC on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Northgate Bowl! This event is open to all skill levels, with free snacks, friendly competition, great vibes, and plenty of connection.

Spots are limited and available first come, first served, sign ups at the front desk. Don’t miss your chance to roll, laugh, and connect with the ROCC community! 🎳✨

We could use a little help from our community ❤️

We’re limited to cooking with a crockpot, so we’re especially in need of:
🥣 Soups & stews (anything that we just have to add water to is best)
🍞 Bread (for PB&J sandwiches — we have peanut butter and jelly)

We could also use:
• Snack foods
• Cup-of-noodles
• Spaghetti noodles & sauce

If you’re able to donate or drop something off, it would make a real difference for the people we serve.

And a big thank you to everyone who has already donated — we truly appreciate you 🙏
