Summer Health Tip - Heat, Air Quality & Staying Safe
Summer heat and poor air quality can affect more than your comfort—they can impact your health.
On hot days, especially when air quality is poor, remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🌤 Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon.
🏡 Stay indoors with air conditioning or a fan when possible.
❤️ Check on older family members, neighbors, and anyone with heart or lung conditions, as they may be more vulnerable to heat and poor air quality.
👶 Keep children and pets cool and never leave anyone in a parked vehicle.
A quick phone call or visit to check on a loved one can make a big difference during extreme summer weather.
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy the rest of your summer!
