Residents enjoyed a wonderful evening of music with French horn performer Benjamin Garrett!

Benjamin shared a beautiful and expressive program featuring the rich, warm sound of the French horn, along with thoughtful Memorial Day-themed selections that made the evening especially meaningful. His talent, artistry, and engaging presence created a truly memorable performance for our Capital Manor community.

Residents and guests were treated to “Decades of Broadway,” a lively concert featuring beloved songs spanning the last 100 years of musical theater. From classics like Oklahoma! and Singin’ in the Rain to favorites from Wicked and Hamilton, the performance was filled with energy, nostalgia, and plenty of toe-tapping fun.

A huge thank you to the talented members of the Salem Community Chorus, director Anna Robinson, and accompanist extraordinaire Adam Robinson for sharing such a joyful and entertaining evening with our Capital Manor community!

What a special evening celebrating the musical talents within our own Capital Manor community!

Residents and guests enjoyed a beautiful concert from resident performers John Eicher on trumpet and Jan Taylor on vocals. Featuring beloved classics like Moon River, Fly Me to the Moon, Summertime, and You Are So Beautiful, the evening was filled with warmth, nostalgia, and wonderful music.

It was truly inspiring to see two talented residents share their passion and artistry with the community. Thank you, John and Jan, for such a heartfelt and memorable performance!

Capital Manor Executive Director, David Lewis, was asked to speak at the LeadingAge Oregon Conference that recently took place at the Salem Convention Center. David spoke on “The Healing Power of Humor” and the health benefits of laughter. Towards the end of his presentation, he provided everyone with a red nose and encouraged them to wear it throughout the day! Laughter really is the best medicine!

We had the pleasure of welcoming the Fusion Trio for a truly captivating concert here at Capital Manor. Featuring Angela Willoughby, Juan Lopez, and Lina Aldana, the performance showcased the rich and expressive sound of piano, violin, and cello. From elegant classical works to vibrant, contemporary pieces, the trio brought a wonderful blend of styles living up to their name with a program full of musical variety and artistry. Their talent, connection, and passion for music made for an engaging and memorable experience. Thank you to the Fusion Trio for sharing such a special evening with our community!
