💜💜What an amazing evening at the “Cooking for a Cure: Chef Showdown”! 💜💜.

Baptist Retirement Community was proud to participate by serving delicious brisket tostadas loaded with cheese, pico de gallo, avocado and white sauce, all while supporting the mission to ending Alzheimer’s disease and raising monies for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s-San Angelo to be held Saturday, September 26th, 2026.

We’d also like to celebrate BRC being awarded “Top Team in Awareness” by the Alzheimer’s Association West Texas Chapter. Michelle Villarreal, The Crest Lifestyles Coordinator and BRC’s team leader for the Walk received the award. Her passion, leadership, and commitment to this cause are truly encouraging and inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event, and helped raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association. Looking for are to seeing everyone at the upcoming Walk.💜💜

We were honored to welcome Senator Charles Perry, Representative Drew Darby, and Karen from Congressman August Pfluger’s office to Baptist Retirement Community yesterday while they were in San Angelo for the Chamber of Commerce “West Texas Legislative Summit.”

They provided our residents and staff with a brief overview of the key issues being discussed at the Summit and took time to answer questions from those in attendance. We appreciate their willingness to engage with our community and share updates on matters impacting West Texas and beyond.

We appreciate Andrea Sparks, Buckner International’s Director of Government and Strategic Relations along with Aaron Hargett, Executive Director of Baptist Retirement Community for this great opportunity.

💙 Our Memory Care residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue!

Those donkeys brought so much joy and comfort, creating meaningful connections and treasured memories for everyone.
