Training for Readiness, Delivering Excellence
The 341st Medical Group at Malmstrom Air Force Base recently conducted a Sustainment Operations for Air Force Medical Response (SOAR) exercise, a comprehensive training exercise to strengthen all-hazards medical response capabilities. During this exercise, dedicated medical teams responded to a simulated anthrax release at the commissary and base Exchange, processing approximately 200 notional patients through coordinated intake, treatment, pharmacy, and clinical operations.
Exercises like SOAR are vital to sharpening teamwork, improving response speed, and ensuring service members and families receive rapid, effective care during real-world emergencies.
The 341 MDG’s commitment to readiness directly supports the readiness and mission success of the entire Defense Health Network Central, ensuring we are always prepared to protect those who serve and their loved ones.

Summer ops require a shift in your nutrition strategy.
💧 Water is crucial, consider adding electrolyte packs to your canteen to replace the essential salts you sweat out.

🍽️ Eating standard MREs can be too filling in high temps. If you get them, prioritize the MORE-Hot Weather rations. They're designed for the heat and provide energy without the bloat.

🍐 Supplement your loadout with jerky, dried fruit, and nut mixes for fuel that won't slow you down.

Understanding PTSD is the first step to overcoming it.

Whether you’re experiencing symptoms yourself or supporting a loved one, know the signs and get the right care.
